The only kind of music that my son seems to like is rock and roll, think he likes it due to liking noise lol.
A friend got this Tomy guitar rock star toy for him for his birthday.
It is like an air guitar as is only the top tuning part of a guitar. The picture shows what I mean above, The picture shows a red one and my son has a blue one and they also come in black.
2 AAA batteries are needed for it which don't come with it.
To work it you can have the manual option or automatic option. For automatic option press the small round brown button once to play first tune, press again for next tune and so on to hear all 8 tunes. The child can play along to the tunes using the 7 tuning buttons and 4 buttons on the side and strum along too. For manual playing press and hold the round button for a few seconds until you hear a beep, then the child holds the guitar again in playing position and holds one of the chord buttons down to hear the note then each time they strum a infra red beam detects the movement plays the note again, It really is clever as looks like they really are playing it as when they strum the invisible strings the notes play.
This has an off button on the back thankfully as I need it and a high or low option. It does get quite loud to so using the low option is quite enough for my son.
Now I had noticed on the back two holes saying in and out and I honestly thought nothing of it but when my partner had a go with it you know men and their toys or rather kids toys lol, He plugged a cable in from our speaker system and then hey presto the whole house turned into a rock and roll concert. I never realised this could be done and is a great idea for short bursts.
The 8 songs that the guitar plays are-
1- Wild thing
2- Smoke on the water
3- I love rock n Roll
4- One vision
5- I believe in a thing called love
6- Take me out
7- Change the world
My son loves this guitar and is right up his street, I can hear him playing away with his bedroom door shut sometimes as he knows it gets annoying for me after a bit. I love how he does the head banging moves to go with it.
I'm getting one of his friend's one for his birthday too so maybe they can interact with them together. From Amazon they cost anything from £8.99 upwards. I know my son's came from The Entertainer store but no idea about cost as can't see it on line and don't like to ask friend.
Instructions come with it so you know which buttons do which job. Happy rocking if you do decide to purchase one.
