Mamu 3-in-1 Plastic Highchair
by womble1985
When I started looking for a high chair I was really suprised at the prices some of them are. I found this one in Argos for £25 and liked the idea of it having more than one function.
It can be used as a high chair where the seat clips on top of the base.
It can be used as a low chair (without the base).
Just a chair ... by removing tray.
A table and chair (not using tray).
Or simply just a table.
It has a 5 point harness, this was essential. It is easily loosened and tightened but on the downside you have to pick the harness up from the bottom of the seat ( no holes over the shoulder so you can put the arms through), so when you put the child in they end up sitting on the harness and it's a bit fiddly to get on.
The tray just pops on and off with minimum effort so very easy to clean.
My favourite thing is the ease of cleaning. There are no nooks, crannies or creases for food to get stuck in so it wipes clean quickly.
My son started using a booster seat for meals at 14 months so I am glad I didn't buy a very expensive high chair as although they say they last until 3 years, that depends if your child is still willing to use it then. But we now use it as a table and chair for playing with things like Play-doh as it has the perfect surface for cleaning, and when he is a bit older it will be great for cooking.
It doesn't fold up to save space so really you need the space to keep it up at all times. A 8 legs are removed easily but this is a bit too much to do everytime you want to use it.
My only other negative is because it is just plastic I had to tape a small pillow to the head space when my son was smaller as when he stropped he had a habit of throwing his head back and banging it and as this chair has no cushioning it hurt! But he grew out of it so it was just for a short while.
Overall a brilliant price for a high chair that will last longer than a normal one due to its other functions. It shows no signs of wear and many covered ones get splits or rips in the plastic making them look worn. I am keeping to use with my new baby so it will be around in our house for a good few years yet! Read the complete review |

Goldbug 2 in 1 Harness Buddy
by ots1987
We bought a Harness Buddy as soon as our little boy was walking confidently. I wanted him to be independent when he was walking, but still safe. Other baby reins I looked at had a very short strap for the parent to hold, meaning the child could not go very far ahead. On researching these, I found that the Goldbug ones had a 3 foot ... harness, making it perfect for letting your child go further, and for taller parents!
We chose the monkey design, and our little boy was very impressed with it when it arrived. He wanted to put it on straight away. The harness has a clip which easily detatches, meaning your child can safely keep it on when they are playing, without the worry of the harness causing an accident.
There is a little pocket on the monkey which is ideal for putting your phone and keys if you are off on a shorter walk with your little one. It wouldn't fit much more than that, which is a shame as it would be nice to be able to store your child's drink bottle, or a little toy.
A downside I have found is that the reins do not seem very big. My little boy is 20 months and slightly big for his age, but when wearing a thick coat, I can't get both clips to do up on the front. They are adjusted to maximum and still will not do up. I have to just do one clip up, which is still safe but not ideal.
The reins look very attractive, and come in lots of different animal designs. The RRP is £19.99, which I think is quite expensive for what it is, but it is very well made and appealing to young children. Read the complete review |

Clippasafe Easy Wash Harness & Rein
by purplekimmy
I was dreading the age when my daughter would start walking around unaided, I knew this meant shopping trips or trips out in general were going to take so much longer as she would want to walk everywhere and not sit in her buggy. We had reached that stage and I bought reins, I couldn't have lived without them. The body section was navy ... blue with a plastic rabbit on the front. The buckles themselves were white as was the bunny. The reins were detachable although the body harness had many uses. It was very easy to change the size of the straps and get it the right size to fit my daughter. As she tends not to stand still for too long I thought this would be a bigger task than it actually was. She also doesn't mind wearing the harness, once the reins have been detached, which is very easy to do, she is more than happy to keep wearing it, so it cant be uncomfortable.
The harness attached to the wooden high chair we have as well as her stroller. As much as I don't like strapping my child into things, makes me feel she is a caged animal, it stops her from getting up from her high chair every five minutes just because it amuses her brother. The reins themselves were strong and easy to keep clean. Either pop them in the washing machine or a bowl of soapy water, a quick scrub and they come up as good as new. The rein length could have been a little longer, it doesn't allow my daughter t feel independent, as she has to be right there beside me because of the length. They are still a wonderful tool that makes me feel safe knowing she is just running about on her own, I have hold of her at all times. Read the complete review |
