We had a couple of corners which jutted out in our lounge. My daughter was walking and crawling about and I was worried she would catch her head on the edges and end up with a cut on her head so off I trotted with my husband to Boots.
Boots had a pack of four corner cushions for the pricely sum of £2.00. I thought this was a good price for them, especially in somewhere like Boots. We bought one pack to start with and said we would buy some more if they were a) useful and b) if we found more corners which need covering.
They come in a little blister pack which is red at the top and blue at the bottom with the corner covers in a clear plastic window.
When we got home, we took them out of the packaging and proceeded to try and put the covers on the corners. The corners were made of a rubber like cushion feel plastic which was clear in colour so that they would not be noticable on the corners. This should have been a simple task but it was far from it. To fit the corner covers, you have to peel back the double sided sticky tape provided and fit it inside the corner cover so that when you push the cover into place, it will stick. This is much easier said than done. The double sided tape was tiny and at times felt like it was impossible to peel apart. A couple of times, it tore and I had to go out and buy some double sided tape to actually make them stick.
Right, with the double sided tape finally in place about half an hour later, it was time to fit them to the corners which were sticking out. 5 minutes later and all we in place. Both my husband and I breathed a sigh of relief that it was another thing not to worry about until we heard them one by one fall off. When we looked, all four had fallen off of the corners we had put them on. We tried sticking them back on but you could just hear the tape unsticking and they continuously fell off. Nothing could hold them in place. In the end, I put them all back in the packaging and took them back to Boots as they were completely useless.
Seriously avoid. Just because they are cheap but still from a reputable place like Boots does not mean they are good quality.
We bought these as our daughter was learning to walk and we realised or coffee table had very sharp corners, we saw these and thought perfect! They weren't! They just didnt work at all!
Priced at £2 for a pack of 4 they seemed more than a bargain...however it turned out to be more a case of quantity over quality!
They come in a pack with little peices of double sided tape which are supposed to stick inside the cushion and to the table...unfortunatly actually peeling the back off the double sided tape in the first place is a nightmare it just splits and by the time you have got it off the sticky tape underneath has crumpled up! If you do actually by some small miracle manage to actually peel the backing off and get the tape into the cushion..its not actually sticky enough the cushions actully just fall right off the corners! We thought at first it may be the shape of our table as the corners are not straight so after another 20mins of trying to get the tape stuck to another cushion we tried other corners but it just had the same effect. We were very disappointed with this product as Boots products are usually brilliant but this time we felt let down. I would not recommend these to anyone they are just a nightmare and a waste of money!
