... but even if baby manages to open the velcro, the battery pack is screwed shut and has to be unscrewed to open, so there is no danger of curious fingers causing trouble! Winnie the Pooh wears a blue outfit and is attached to a white 'pillow'. The pillow is actually a thin pillowcase covering the battery/sound pack. It is not soft at all, nothing like an actual pillow. It is rock hard, and if thrown about, it would hurt! The pillow has some cloud designs on. It has a colour changing feature, so when switched on, the pillo...more

Fisher Price Lullaby Soother Winnie The Pooh: I'm so sleepy, night night! (648 words)

When my daughter was born, she slept in a moses basket by our bed. When we moved her into her cot, she had her favourite teddy for company, but we wanted something that would play a lullaby for her. We came across this Winnie the Pooh teddy soother. At first I was disappointed that it didn't come in pink, there was little choice or variety. However it is available at most toy shops, and we bought it in 2009 for approx £29.99. I believe it still retails at a similar price now, although sometimes cheaper when on offer. Whilst she was in her Moses basket, we placed this on our bed so that she could still hear it and see the colours. When she went into ...  Read the complete review

How loud can a toy be?! (420 words)

Following my Pooh bear theme it was without a doubt that my daughter would have one of these. It was larger than I expected when it came down the belt in Argos and I realised that this was not a newborn toy although it said suitable from birth and therefore I wasn't going to let me daughter sleep with it at an early age. When I did get it out of the box for her, I intended to put it on the little table next to her cot so that she had something soothing next to her when her Winnie The Pooh light show wasn't of interest. Although Winnie the Pooh is soft and cuddly himself with his little blue baby gro on, the pillow is hard and I mean very hard. On ...  Read the complete review

Bedtime with a younger child or baby who cannot settle, is for the baby / child and the parents, sometimes a bit stressful. Some babies drift of into the land of nod with ease, others just wriggle about, become restless and cannot settle for ages. Then there are the babies who no matter what their parents do, will not snuggle off to sleep without a fight. For every child there is almost always a solution to the problem and during the restless, can't sleep won't sleep period, we must have tried almost every idea we could to settle our child off to sleep. We bought many of the baby phase toys from car boot sales, parent and toddler sale days and friends. ...  Read the complete review

The Fisher Price Lullaby Soother Winnie The Pooh is a lovely cuddly toy for babies with the added feature of a colour changing night light. This pooh bear was given to my daughter as a gift for her first christmas and there was a time when she wouldn't go to sleep without this toy. The toy basically consists of a cuddly pooh bear wearing a blue romper suit and lying down on a little white pillow with clouds sew onto it. The pillow is made of thin cotton and has a colour changing light box inside it. When you press the top of the pillow, the lights come on and shine through the pillow case and pooh bear starts to play lullaby music, nature sounds such as ...  Read the complete review

Fisher Price Lullaby Soother Winnie The Pooh: A great nights sleep for yoour little one (748 words)

I was due to have my baby within a few weeks and wanted something that would sooth my child at bed time to give them a peaceful sleep. My fist daughter slept in with me from the day she was born, not my best of ideas. I think that because of that this is why she is partly a light sleeper and the smallest of noises wakes her up. This is another reason that I thought about getting a lullaby soother. I thought seen as it would been nears her ears well eye level, (for her to see the lights) that it might be noisy and that would keep her amused at night times to encourage her to her own bed and also she would get use to noise from an early age and be a heavy sleeper.
