We were given this as a present once our little boy moved into his own room at 6 months. It was a relief as I had been worrying about how I would know my baby was safe.

The montior's are quite easy to set up the night light part is plugged into your babies room, you can either have the light on or off just by pressing the light part in or out. My little boy used to like it on. It was a faint enough glow that it didn't wake my baby up but provided reassurance if he did. The other part plugs into which ever room your in. I have to admit it is slightly annoying that they have to be plugged in all the time.

Both monitors can be set on a A or B channel, to stop any interference you just need to make sure both are set up on the same.

The monitor in the adults room has lights on it so even if the monitor is down low the lights move up depending on the amount of noise in you babies room. It had a volume knob on the side, which I found went to a good volume, loud enough for you to hear while your asleep.

I will say though that as this monitor is analogue you get a lot of buzzing and humming in the background and I found this sometimes enough to keep me awake at night. Although when your baby cries or makes any sort of noise it is very efficient at picking it up and transmitting it crystal clear. We sometimes picked up another monitor across the road from us, and also some random radio channels! This again could be annoying, especially when your trying to sleep!

Overall the monitor does the job and it isn't a bad price I have seen them advertised for £24.99, however we have since bought dome digital ones and I much prefer these as they make no noise apart from when you baby does!
