Advantages: Keeps babies interested and makes them laugh, well made
Disadvantages: Doesn't hold on to the pram very well
I brought this for my daughter's pram so that she could see herself when we were out and about. She was always obsessed with mirrors - slightly vain - and she used to laugh hysterically at herself and the different faces she would pull.
I purchased this from eBay for about £2.50 plus postage and I was pleasantly surprised by it when it arrived. At first look, the first thing that came into my mind was that it was a tiny wing mirror for a bike! That is truly what it looked like and you can probably see that from the picture.
It was brightly coloured in baby friendly colours - yellow, blue and red which were all very bright. The picture makes them look a little bit dull but they were not that dull. It is made of a hard plastic which was pretty hardy and took a good few beatings from my daughter when she used to fall asleep in her pram and bat it away with her hand!
The mirror part was on a long blue arm and this was adjustable once it was on the pram so that your child can move it backwards and forwards. The mirror isn't glass (I know that is probably obvious) it was like a reflective plastic. It was fitted nicely into the circular frame and didn't show any signs of being able to come out.
The only thing which annoyed me was the clip which held it on to the pram. It didn't hold on at all well and my daughter would always manage to pull it off as it didn't screw or adjust on. It would hold on as long as there wasn't much force put upon it but with a baby there is undoubtedly going to be a fair bit of force on it!
All in all, this product was okay even though it spent more time in my daughter's hands! It is a shame it didn't hold on but my daughter really loved it and was always happy when she had her mirror to look at herself in! It lasted well and only eventually broke because my husband stood on it when it was on the floor one day!
I recommend it but I wouldn't pay lots for it.
