Advantages: Very strong and sturdy, easy to fit and clean

Disadvantages: none

We own two of these baby gates so far and I could not recommend them high enough! We actually purchased our first baby gate for our dog! We moved into a new house that was open plan downstairs so we decided to put a baby gate at the bottom of the stairs to stop our dog from wandering round upstairs while we were out. It was purchased from toys r us around 3 years ago and cost us £29.99. We did look at other baby gates but decided on this one because it looked easy to fit as it didn't need to be drilled into the wall and the catch looked a lot easier to use than some of gates that I have come across before!

The baby gate was very easy to put up. The actual gate came as one piece so there was no need for screwdrivers or hammers etc. The gate is pressure mounted to the wall so all we needed to do was to slot the four screws into each corner of the gate and then turn each one until it was tight enough to keep the gate in place. The catch on this gate is operated very easily by squeezing the two light blue parts of the handle together and then lifting it up. It is a little fiddly at first but can be opened and closed easily with one hand once you get used to it. I was a little dubious of pressure mounted baby gates before we purchased this one as we own a siberian husky who is very strong so I thought she may be able to pull it straight down but she has never once managed to dislodge this gate.

When my daughter started walking we decided that we needed a gate at the top of the stairs as well as the bottom to stop her from falling down the stairs. I immediately just went out and bought another Lindam baby gate exactly the same as the one we already had. I didn't bother to research baby gates a second time as I found the baby gate worked very well for us and was a good price so I thought it would be good to have matching ones.

The only down side to the baby gates is that they have marked the walls and stair case a bit but I suppose that is unnavoidable really and at least we didn't have to drill any holes in the walls to put it up. We're not planning on taking the baby gates down in the near future, but when we do I imagine the walls and staircase will just need a quick lick of paint to hide where the baby gates have been. The gate is also very easy to clean and the gaps are very narrow - I did have a baby gate previously that my dog could actually squeeze through the side of but this gate only leaves around a 10 cm gap between the wall and the first section of the gate.

Overall I would definitely recommend this baby gate for anyone with young children or pets.

Summary: So good i bought two!
