When you first have child, things like safety gates, don't really cross your mind, until the dreaded moment your little treasures start crawling and you suddenly realize your house is full of hazards to your baby.
I looked into stair gates when my first started crawling and went for the Lindam two way safety gate because it had so many different features that we needed.
The house we where in at the time had quite wide doorways therefore we needed a stair gate that would be extendable to fit our doorways. When we brought the gate in side the leaflet Lindam does offer the chance for you to get extendable fitments sent to you at no extra cost ( apart from postage) which i thought was very reasonable, The two way system makes it easier for adults to come through the gate as it doesn't matter which way your facing.
Also what attracted me the most was it's handy and very easy to use was it's one hand click system, which opens and shuts the gate with ease to you, brilliant if you have a baby if one hand.
It also fits to wall safely and secure using only special suction rubber grippers which tighten to the wall, meaning theres no drilling of holes and making mess, which is handy if you need to move the gate around.
When we moved into a bigger house we realized we would need more gates,one for the kitchen, living room, upstairs, bottom of the stairs and so, and ok having lot's of gates fixed around your house may look like a mini prison and may not in keep with the style of your house, but at least you know your children are safe.
