      Very helpful

      They are average

I work as a childminder and have to have certain safety precautions in my house, one of these being corner cushions on all corners and edges.

I bought these safety 1st corner cushions from Lloyds pharmacy for £1.99 for 4 which I thought was pretty good. They are transparant so there aren't as obtrusive as some other ones I have seen.

Corner cushions are designed to help protect little ones from bumping into sharp corners and causing themselves an injury.

The cushions are made from a rubber type material and are applied with an adhesive tape that is already in place on the sides and the top of the cushion. Simply pull off the tape and position on the corner. Press down for a few seconds and thats it. It is also possible to use glue or to screw them in place. There are littles holes on the side of the cushions to allow you to do this.

I found these corner cushions ok but not brilliant. The adhesive tape isn't as strong as some I have used previously. The children were able to pull off two of them a few days after I had applied them and one just fell off which was quite annoying! Once they had come off I was unable to reuse the adhesive tape as it had lost its stickiness so had to screw them into place as I wasn't comfortable with using a glue on the wood. The screws aren't very visable.

I have also found that when they do come off they leave behind an adhesive residue which is very tricky to get off without scratching the table.

These corner cushions aren't ideal but do serve a good purpose. I would much rather have a bit of glue on my table than have a child seriously injure themselves. I have had no problems since screwing them onto the table, it has kept them secure, it would have been nice if they had provided the screws though as the holes are very tiny!

I think you would have the same problems with most corner cushions as they are only stuck on with small amounts of adhesive.

I would give this product 3 out of 5.
