Safety 1st Fridge Lock

When my toddler 'A' reached 3 years old, she began to tear up everything. The Tv was smashed, my iPod was down the toilet, my carpets were smudged, everything was just an absolute mess. It wasn't long until she noticed the wonders of the fridge. She particularly enjoyed taking the cheese and butter and hiding them. She managed to hide a block of cheese (mozzarella ) and hide it at the back of the couch, underneath where there was a little burst bit. It began to stink the house out, and it was our little pooch who started scratching at the back of the couch for us to pull out a greyish-blueish block of cheese. It was then we realised we had to get something done about this.
We decided to move the drawers in the fridge so she couldn't reach anything. However she then noticed the wonders of her stool, and then she was away reaching even worse things. I never thought you could use safety locks, I have them for all my cupboards, but they are screwed on, and I naturally thought, how can you screw locks on to the materials fridges are made from? I then heard about fridge locks that stuck on. I bought a set from the pound shop, but 'A' sussed it out within seconds. A woman from my gym was telling us how she got fridge locks, and she was so amused at how her son couldn't open the fridge. She said it was 'safety 1st' When I first heard the brand name, I automatically heard 'ker-ching, ker-ching, ker-ching' in my head. They are such a well knowen brand that I couldn't afford their products. But I was very wrong. Their fridge locks were only £2, I thought this was pretty good value.
They attach on with sticky pads. In all honesty a strong two year old could pull if off no problem, I just gave the material of my fridge a little scratch with a knife, then super-glued it on. I would need it for when Summer grew up anyway. The lock itself works a treat, for adults it's a simple pull, push and click. It is a white, shiny plastic material, which didn't go very well with my kitchen, but at least it kept my fridge safe. It's always amazing watching 'A' trying to pull of it, we have even caught summer trying to do the same. It has never broken, and after we super-glued it, it has never fallen off. It has remained on our fridge for 6 months now, I think it will be staying there for a while longer also.
Summary: We'll keep them.
