Advantages: Simply they are just great!

Disadvantages: None

I first seen these door stoppers at my sister's house, she had one on every door in the house. At first I thought that she was being a little overprotective. It wasn't until my daughter turned one and was starting to walk and become somewhat mischievous herself when I realised exactly why she used these on all of the doors in her house. Being a new mum, I was almost (what you could call blind) to all of those small dangers in the house. I had all of the obvious things covered, but I never thought I would need things like door stoppers, (but boy was I wrong!)

That first time a seen my daughter slam a door, we were in the car and on the way to toys R us within 5 minutes. The thought of her trapping her fingers (something that I hadn't really thought of before) scared me that much that I bought one of these for every door in our house. At £ 3.49 they weren't a bad price either.

Appearance wise they are just plain white, so they will go with any room, or colour door frame. They don't look like much, but it's what they do and what they prevent from happening that matters. Basically it is a white foam circle, with a little bit missing so that it can fit on the door. They are stretchy and the gap is rather small so they will fit on any average door without falling off or sliding down.

The idea is to slide the door stopper on to the top of the door, to prevent little ones from reaching it and pulling it off. When the door gets slammed then, it will bounce of the door frame and leave the door open a couple of cm so if there are any little fingers in the way, they won't get caught in the door.

Since we got these there have been many times where, if they had not been there, we could have had some accidents. We stopped using them when my daughter was 2 as by this age she had some concept of danger. I found these so useful and I would definitely recommend them and suggest that everybody with small babies/toddlers should use them.

Summary: Protect those little fingers!
