I bought this for my daughter last month. After much shopping around I decided to buy this particular model. I got mine from Amazon where it cost £21.49 and I was given free delivery! I have seen this in Toys-r-us and Mothercare for around £35.

The lightshow is made by Tomy. It requires 4 AA batteries. I bought rechargable batteries as I knew I would be using this a lot. The lightshow is predominantly blue in colour and features three character buttons, namely Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet. There are also two switches which feature a bee and a bird. The centre of the lightshow is white and when illuminated shows images of Winnie the Pooh and the main characters. At the top of the lightshow is a projector which points towards the ceiling, and on either size two sliding switches one to control the volume and one to set day or night mode. Finally at the bottom of the left hand side there is a switch to either manually turn the lightshow on or to set it to 'baby activated mode'.

You attach the lightshow to the bars of the cot, there is a circle on the back of the lightshow that simply screws off, once you have put it in the desired postion you then simply screw the circle back on.

You can use the lightshow in two modes, firstly day mode which features three different songs. In day mode images of Winnie the Pooh and friends are displayed on the front of the lightshow. When you press the character buttons at the front each character makes a giggling noise, you can also slide each switch to make the bird tweet and the bee buzz.

In nightmode the lightshow projects images of Winnie the Pooh and friends onto the ceiling. The image projected on the ceiling is circular in shape and the images continually move. When the front buttons are pressed in night mode each character makes a yawning noise.

In both modes the projector automatically switches off after 5-10 minutes. In night mode if your baby starts crying the lightshow automatically reactivates to reassure the baby. In day mode it can also be set to noise activated and songs are played to reassure you baby as he/she wakes up.

In night mode there are three lullabies which are played and in day mode there are three different songs that are played includeing the Winnie the Pooh theme song.

I would recommend this to all parents! My daughter simply loves it. When I am settling her to sleep I put it on so she can look at the images and hopefully as she gets older she will associate the lullabies with bed time. In the day I use day mode when I am changing her or if I have to put her in her cot to get on with the ironing. She loves looking at the bright colours. As she is only young at the moment she is too young to appreciate the character noises but I am sure as she gets older she will enjoy pressing the buttons.

I use this frequently and I haven't had to replace the batteries yet and I am four weeks into using it. The songs are also of very good sound quality and aren't tinny like some mobiles and lightshows I have heard. The volume can also be adjusted to suit in the night I tend to have it on a lower setting and in the day I turn it up on full.

This is a great buy and excellent value for money it is a lightshow that will last as your baby grows!

Summary: A great product for the money!
