Advantages: Colourful characters on the side/front, lovely soothing music
Disadvantages: None
Having had a 'night show' similar to this one when I was a baby, I wished my daughter to have the same soothing sound and show when she was drifting off to sleep.
After quickly learning, that sleeping triggers were not a good idea (like rocking/patting them to sleep) as they couldn't recreate this if they woke up in the middle of the night, therefore needing mummy or daddy to do it, we didn't use this every night as we didn't want our daughter to 'need' it in the middle of the night.
However, now our daughter is 8 months old, she has started to learn to switch it on by herself. She also enjoys the images when they are projected onto her ceiling. She also seems to enjoy the soothing music that is played at the same time. You can also just play the images on the 'globe' on the side if you would prefer.
If you do decide to use the projector, please be careful when you position this as it's really not that effective if it's pointing at a corner in the ceiling!
Summary: A relaxing addition to our daughters nursery
