      a great fun bag

As with other Trunki products this bag is a combination of eye-catching design and some clever design features. We own the killer whale model, as pictured above, but it's also available in a shark design in shades of light grey, at a slightly expensive rrp of £29.99, currently £20 on Amazon. It's an ideal swimming bag, given its shape and also that it is completely waterproof.

At 10 litres this rucksack is plenty big enough to take a child's bits and bobs for swimming, towel and all - it fits my slightly small 8 year old really well and is well made in a quality fabric. There is a smaller bag available in this series for the up to five age group; this is billed for being for 6+ which I think is about right. In use the opening to the bag is designed in such a way that it's wide when open, making it easy to get towel and costume in and out. It has to be said that the closing, which is patented and involves a three times fold down of the top, is a bit fiddly for a child but when closed it means that the buckle is discrete and that the bag looks like the mammal it is supposed to represent.

I particularly like the extra little features on this killer whale - who could fail to be be charmed by an integrated purse in the tail, with a secure zip, and the sticky out tongue and teeth? There are extra pockets on this item too; a hidden inner one ideal for keeping a wet costume separate from everything else as well as a mesh smaller outer pocket on the killer whale's side and a sunglasses clip on the front. There is also a hanging strap for putting on a peg, another useful feature. It has to be said that the Trunki logo is quite prominent on the bag - not an issue to me, and there are also some reflective bits on the bag, always a good safety feature for winter nights. The straps are really well padded and can be adjusted for a perfect fit. It's all very well made and designed, we've been using it regularly for a few months now and it's got no signs of wear at all.

Overall this is a great item, that my child really likes - it certainly makes her stand out in the changing rooms and would be ideal for beach trips too. This bag is a little on the expensive side it's true, but it's made the experience of going to swimming lessons a little easier and more fun for everyone, and it's a quality item. Recommended.
