Aero Christmas Tree
Advantages: nice size, delicious
I am currently trying to eat a little healthier and have tried to cut crisps and chocolate out completely but from time to time I get a real urge for some chocolate - who doesn't!? Rather than buy a chocolate bar I try and get something smaller or something that I can re-seal so I don't eat it all at once. At Tesco a couple of weeks ago I was shocked to see the amount of Christmas confectionary that was appearing, but being Christmas mad I just had to have a look! There were many different chocolates on offer and one of them was an Aero Christmas Tree which were on a two for a pound offer.
Aero Christmas Tree is a small single chocolate "bar" which I presume is something that is maybe aimed as a stocking filler. The packaging is quite festive looking, with the background being green with the familiar Aero bubbles surrounding the Aero logo at the top. Mixed in with the bubbles you will see various sized snowflakes giving a wintry effect. Just under the logo in bold red lettering it says Christmas tree with a large picture of the product just below. The tree has a bite taken out of it so you can see what it looks like inside. At the bottom of the packet it shows that there are 146 calories per tree which equates to 7% of an adults GDA. The slogan on the back of the packet is "making Christmas enjoyabubble!"
Opening the packet you can immediately smell a really minty chocolatey aroma. Pulling the tree out of the packet you can see that the tree itself is just like a Christmas tree, with "tinsel" garlands, baubles and a star on top. Eating the tree is just like eating a regular mint aero but it is much more chunky than a standard bar. I think there is enough chocolate in one of these little trees to satisfy my chocolate craving and I think as they are quite thick it does feel like you are eating more than you actually are. I don't really eat a lot of Nestle chocolate as I am not really keen on any other than Cadbury's but this is a really nice chocolate bar and the mint takes over the taste of the actual chocolate.
**May contain nuts**
Would I recommend the Aero Christmas Tree? Yes I definately would, it is a really tasty little treat and it makes me feel all Christmassy when I am eating one (any excuse to feel festive with me!). I love how they have made a bubbly chocolate bar into something for Christmas and it makes a nice small snack. The Aero Christmas Tree is priced at around 65 pence, but regularly on offer at two for a pound which is a good offer in my opinion!
Thank you for reading my review.
