      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not for me but the bf loved it!

I am not the worlds biggest fan of chocolate but my other half is and when he comes to stay with me I always buy in things he loves and being as he is a complete snackoholic and never eats a proper meal it costs me a small fortune!

I find myself getting in lots of 'junk' food and was in the beginning buying expensive branded things until I realised how much it was costing me when he sat down and munched the entire contents of my goody cupboard and so I took action and started buying in shops own brand of things and this was one offering at 60p a bar I thought he may approve of.

      The Packaging:

The chocolate itself is wrapped in silver foil and the outer wrapper is a dark burgundy paper and on the front of that we are told that it is Asda Fruit & Nut Milk Chocolate 'Raisins & Hazelnuts' that it is 100g in weight and that it contains no artificial colours, flavours or hydrogenated fat. On the back of the wrapper other information given includes ingredients and allergy advice being stated, there is a full nutritional chart on there as are contact details for Asda.

      The Chocolate:

Large squares of chocolate in a big block, a darkish brown in colour (dark for milk chocolate anyway) and the squares are smooth and easy to snap apart. I was unimpressed by the thin appearance of the chocolate from the offset and would have liked it to look a bit more like milk chocolate too.

To me this had a too sweet taste to it, lacked the creaminess of more higher priced chocolate bars and just wasn't all that great really. It struggled to melt in the mouth and there was simply a small amount of fruit and nuts within it and those were tiny. I expected the fruit to be juicy and rich in taste but it wasn't and the nuts were barely detectable within it either really and only occasionally did I noticed the texture of something other than the chocolate.

This big bar of chocolate is 60p a bar for a reason and that's because it lacks quality not because it is particularly a good buy. Pay a bit more and buy something more tasty as I can't recommend this one at all sadly!
