Advantages: 13p! What a bargain! They also taste yummy!
Disadvantages: None!
A cheap and tasty chocolatey treat! With no artificial colours or hydrogenated, they're not as bad for you as you might think!
The soft chocolatey sponge melts in your mouth to reveal a yummy vanilla creamed flavoured filling. Just because the price is so small, doesn't mean that the quality of the product is in any way bad. They taste just as good as the more expensive ones.
The swiss roll also comes in a plain sponge flavour with raspberry jam in the middle, it's just as nice as, but I love chocolate so always choose the chocolate ones. hehe!
- Packaging -
The packaging is a simple clear wrapper with the white and green Asda SmartPrice colours on the label. The ingredients and allergy advice are clearly stated on the back of the packet, with the sell by/best before date.
The packaging advises you to consume within 3 days of opening obviously the longer you leave it the dryer it will become.
- Price -
It's an absolute bargain at 13p for the roll. It's quite small in size, but perfect! You could cut it in half and save some for another time, or if you're feeling extra naughty then go for the whole roll! If you don't eat it all, you're certainly not going to complain about it going to waste as it costs so little.

- Overall -
I've always been a fan of Asda SmartPrice products, and believe that more people need to try own brand products from supermarkets, it saves you so much money, as half the time your paying for a brand and label. The food is pretty much the same.
I absolutely love these swiss rolls as a treat, I normally have half of the roll with my boyfriend and we'll have it with some warm custard. It makes the sponge go even softer and soak up the custard a little bit, it's sooo nice!
As for the price, well you simply can't complain! Compared to the more expensive swiss rolls out there, the Asda SmartPrice ones are just as good. Just because it's cheap doesn't mean the quality is bad, because these swiss roll's are gorgeous!
Summary: Serve with warm custard for added yummyness!
