Cadbury Chocolate Animal Mini Packs
Advantages: TASTY AND A NICE SIZE FOR KIDS, CHEAP
Disadvantages: LACK OF CHOCOLATE AND AWFUL SUGAR INTAKE!
Cadbury is a well known confectionary brand which has recently been taking over by Kraft.
Here we have Cadbury Mini Animals which are mini animal shaped biscuits which as half covered in Cadbury milk chocolate. They contain no artificial flavours or colours and are suitable for adults and children.
The animal biscuits come in small purple bags. The image on the front of each bag may vary but my packs have Gemma the Elephant. The brand and product name is also on the front. The back of the pack has the ingredients, nutritional information and some blurb about Cadbury.
The packs can be recycled.
The mini bags are then placed in a larger purple bag. The front of the big bag has various animal images alongside the brand and product name. The back has the same information as the small packets. We are also introduced to the animal characters including Mojo Monkey, Leroy Lion, Tiff Tiger and Zippo Hippo.
The animal biscuits themselves are shaped like the individual animals. The are a brown, cookies sort of colour and there is a thin layer of creamy chocolate on the underside of the biscuit. They are hard to the touch though once popped in your mouth, they disintegrated nicely into a soft biscuit.

I enjoy Cadbury chocolate as I feel it is excellent quality and very tasty. These Chocolate Animal Biscuits are ones that I remember fondly from my childhood as I believe they used to come in cardboard boxes as well as bags.
My most recent purchase of these was for my son's 2nd birthday party as there would be 4 children in total. Here is my opinion!
The little bags are ideal sizes for children and there are approx 10 mini animals per bag. The different animal shapes are very defined and would certainly be appealing to young children. They are a nice size for toddlers or young children to hold neatly in their hands though the chocolate melts quite quickly. Although hard on the outset, these soon soften but of course children should still be watched whilst eating.
Now this is where I feel a tad conned..the description states that the biscuits are half covered in chocolate but I found that the majority were only around 25% topped and some others showed less than this. Nevertheless, the biscuit is sweet and has nice crunch til it softens and the chocolate for what there is of it is very creamy like that of chocolate buttons. The combination works well together.
Now the sugar is bordering overload so really 1 pack each or else you will have some hyper, sugar fuelled kids! I gave my niece and nephew a pack each and they very much enjoyed the design and taste of them. My son and my youngest nephew are only toddlers so they shared a pack and looked satisfied with the outcome of their party treat. The rest of the bags were left to the adults and I was impressed but felt more chocolate would be welcomed greatly.
These are great for snacks if you are out and about as you can give one at a time out the bag and save the rest for later. Also perfect for party bags!
£1 a pack is a great price for a quality brand and one I recommend.
Thanks for reading
