Advantages: The cadbury chocolate.

Disadvantages: The chocolate is too thin and the fondant takes over taste wise.

With Easter fast approaching the shops shelves are once again full of Cadbury cream eggs, this is a good thing in my opinion as I love these little chocolate eggs, and although they are around most of the year they are easier to find and less expensive to buy as Easter approaches.

Those clever people at Cadbury recently released the Cadbury cream egg twisted bar in an attempt to have the cream egg in different shape with us all year round and be treated like any other chocolate bar.

Sadly the twisted bar comes nowhere close to the excellent egg, the chocolate is thinner the fondant overtakes the taste of the chocolate and I really felt that my 45p that the bar cost me was wasted.

I think the fact that this bar is really dominated taste wise by the fondant centre makes it much more sickly than the delicious egg version and that alone is enough to put me off buying them, I can see the idea from Cadbury of course, trying to make as much as they can from a products good name and offering consumers another option but this just doesn't work.

The bar does have one thing in common with the egg and that is that it is very fattening and full of sugar and fat, a single bar contains 210 calories, 9.4g of fat and an enormous 27.9g of sugars, so bad for you and not that tasty and certainly not recommended.

Summary: Stick to the eggs!
