I can not help myself when it comes to Cadbury Creme Eggs
These heavenly tasting egg shaped chocolate and fondant treats wrapped up in red blue and yellow foil bring back childhood memories and taste just as good now as when I remember 20 + years ago .
For anyone who has not tried one and I cant think there are many of you but for those who haven't go grab one now before they disappear for the season .
They are about the same size as an average chicken egg , although I do think they have shrunk slightly over the years . Or have we just simply gotten bigger ? it seems to be a common argument that has been around for as long as care to remember ..
So you have this piece of egg shaped Cadbury milk chocolate all wrapped up in shiny red blue and yellow foil . Can you unwrap it without tearing the foil ? Underneath hides the scrummy milk chocolate and one little bite through the thick shell will reveal the sweet sticky white and yellow fondant center . It does actually look like the insides of an egg :) How will you eat yours ?
I like to put mine in the fridge to harden up before unwrapping and popping the whole thing in my mouth to melt slowly . More often than not I'm impatient and can not wait to get home and will devour it as soon as I'm out of the shop.
For what they are they can be expensive treats at 60p + but you can find them on special 2 for £1 or even better if bought by the box of 3 , 6 , 12 .. I once bought the big box of 48 I think it was to see me through the out of season time .. I still ran out before they came back the following year .. I'm a creme egg addict
