Cadbury Crunchie Rocks
Advantages: grogeous texture and very sweet
Disadvantages: bad for you?
When my work colleague and friend came in to work a few weeks ago she had brought some goodies with her. For me she had brought a bag of crunchie rocks and I shall review them now!
Crunchie rocks are a relatively new arrival to the Cadbury's range. They come in a 145g share bag and retail at around £1.75 per bag. They can often be picked up on a two for three pounds offer or something similar in large supermarkets so it is certainly worth looking out for deals.
The crunchie rocks come in a golden coloured bag with red writing. The packaging fits in well with the Cadbury's crunchie which I am sure is the intention. The Cadbury's logo is in one corner of the pack and we are also told that the product is new in the opposite corner.
To open the bag you should pull off the top. The top is slightly perforated it seems all the way across so it is easy to access your treats. On the back of the pack there is a sticky label which you can use to reseal the pack when you have had enough or feel like you should stop eating!
Once the bag is open you can immediately smell the sweet Cadbury's chocolate smell which is very inviting! When you remove a crunchie rock from the bag you will see that although they are not all the same in shape and size that they are generally around the size of a two pound coin. They are actually made from bits of honeycomb and golden cornflakes which are then rolled around in Cadbury's milk chocolate to make the finished product.
Biting in to the crunchie rock is just brilliant! The crunch of honeycomb and cornflakes together with the sweet Cadbury's chocolate is genius and I love it! The rocks are very sweet though and I find I cannot eat too many in one sitting as it can make me feel a bit sick. Despite this, these treats are very moreish and they are certainly one of my favourites!
Of course with any treat such as this they are not going to be particularly good for you and in each 1/3 of a bag there are 235 calories and 10.3g of fat so they are certainly not something you should be eating copious amounts of every day. I do believe everything in moderation though I have to say and I personally love these treats and so does my son!
Recommended for occasional consumption!
Thank you for reading my review!
Summary: A lovely treat!
