Advantages: Tastes amazing and there's nothing out there quite like it

Disadvantages: Hard to stop at just one!!

Crunchie's are one of those chocolate bars you don't eat for a while then one day you pick one up and ask yourself why it's been so long since you last had one. These are probably one of Cadbury's best known bars with readily recognisable gold wrappers with red writing. I bought one today from a supermarket for 59p - much more expensive than when I was younger but I suppose that's what these things cost nowadays.

The crunchie is a long rectangular shaped bar of honeycomb coated with the standard Cadbury's milk chocolate. The chocolate is quite a thin coating - not too thin but probably a few mm or so thick. Inside, the honeycomb centre is a gorgeous golden yellow colour and it is indeed, as the name implies, very crunchy. I am not a fan of honey at all, in fact I really don't like it at all, but this only has a very subtle hint of honey and is more sugary and almost caramel-like in taste. The initial crunchiness wears off to a nice sticky and chewy texture after it's in your mouth.

Although these seem to be, on the outside, a lighter alternative to a solid chocolate bar, they actually contain a really high amount of saturated fat - 26% of your RDA in a bar. So they are probably just as bad for you as most chocolate bars out there. But will this put me off? No way!!

All in all, the Crunchie is definately in my top 5 chocolate bars. Once you have one you could eat another again as they are so tasty!

Summary: If you haven't already had one you are missing out
