If I had to choose a favourite chocolate bar....well I just couldn't do it!! I love chocolate - all kinds of it...apart from dark chocolate! I love milk and white chocolate. Even though I can't really choose a favourite chocolate bar, one I tend to choose quite a lot is the CRUNCHIE!!!
The Crunchie itself is very attractive. It consists of a long and chunky looking bar. When you take a bite, the inside looks like a golden coloured sponge covered in chocolate.
One thing which I don't like about the Crunchie is the fact that it is quite sticky - not so much that it makes your hands sticky, but it can make your teeth stick together a little bit. Also judging from the amount of sugar, these are not good at all for your teeth.
Whilst you need a little bit of strength to bite into the Crunchie, the bar itself is quite light to eat and very moreish. I always find that I reach the end of the bar far too quickly. They taste very honey-ish, and combined with the chocolate, it is delicious. The inside cackles a little bit and if you suck it, it melts. Crunchies are very sweet, and so some may find them a little bit too sweet. Whilst I love them, I don't think I could eat more than one in one go.
Nutritionally, these chocolate bars aren't very good. Each 40g bar will set you back 185 calories, 24.g sugar, 7.6g fat (4.9g of which is saturated) and 0.28g salt. Obviously these aren't the kind of things you are going to eat all the time due to their nutritional value, however, I do think that they are ok to eat in moderation.
You can buy these bars for around 70p, which I do think is quite expensive
I would definitely recommend these!
