Up until recently I hadn't really eaten many Double Deckers but after wondering over the local paper shop and wanting to try something a bit different, I am now hooked on Double Decker bars and they have become my favourite chocolate bar.

About The Double Decker
Double Deckers are made by Cadbury's who created it back in 1976 when the British public loved Double Decker buses. The name probably comes from the fact that the Double Decker has two layers.

Packaging
The Double Decker bar has a bright orange and purple wrapper. Double Decker is written across the front of the wrapper in white writing with the double being written in quite small writing and the decker in rather large writing. The description reads 'Milk chocolate with smooth, chewy, nougatine and crisp crunchy cereal filling.'

Price
Double Decker's can be bought nearly. A single bar costs about 40p each. You can also get multi pack bars and at Tesco they cost £1.28 for 5 bars.

The Double Decker
The top half is a layer of chewy nougat; the bottom half, a crisp, crunchy cereal base. The whole thing is then covered in a coating of Cadbury's chocolate.
The chocolate bar is pretty big, about 11cm long and about an 3cm thick and it certainly leaves me feeling more full than other chocolate bars. According to the wrapper, the bar weighs 60g.

Taste
As you bite into the chocolate bar you are greeted by a thick layer of chocolate, then underneath there is a soft layer of nougatine, which is chewy and sweet. The base in crunchy with something like rice krispie pieces mixed in.
The combination of both layers really makes this bar different from others on the market, providing a contrast in both texture and flavour. You have the crunchy base, the soft chocolate on top and then the slightly chewy nougatine in the middle. On the whole, this chocolate bar taste yummy and very different from most other chocolate bars.

Summary
After eating this chocolate bar, I do feel satisfied and it certainly provides me with a chocolate rush. Its different from other chocolate bars as it has varying textures and flavours. The chocolate bar is the same price or a similar price to all the others on the market and I definitely think that they are more filling than other bars. I would 100% recommend the Double Decker to any chocolate fan.
