Advantages: The lovely taste of cadbury milk chocolate
Disadvantages: Fattening
Its that time of year again (well, just finishing now!) when everyone wants easter eggs. I read somewhere that Easter eggs had been seen on sale since January!! Unfortunately Easter, along with Christmas is very commercial and lets face it, in many cases it is about making more profits and often the real meaning of Easter is forgotten; but thats another story!
There have been absolutely loads of Easter eggs for sale; with many on special offer and i went into my local Sainsbury's today to see piles of easter eggs on sale at half price; Easter egg prices vary; from the smaller ones for about a £1.00 right up to the really expensive ones which could cost £20 or more.
I have been getting my kids Easter eggs for many years now and they would think something was wrong if, one year, they didn't get any! I often buy the Cadbury flake one. The one i got for them this year had a hollow Cadbury milk chocolate egg plus 3 Cadbury flakes. The contents of the whole box are 273g. I am sure some of you may have noticed that Flakes have become decidedly smaller than they once were and the flakes in this egg are no different. The egg itself is actually quite large (this makes up for the rather small size of the flakes). The taste, in my view is delicious, just as you would expect Cadbury milk chocolate to be. Despite the small flakes (they don't last long!) i love them; i have always liked flakes; they are so crumbly and i much prefer them to other similar types; even though its very easy to get the crumbles of chocolate all over the place; i eat them in a certain way. Firstly, i always keep them in the fridge; secondly, once i have got through about 3/4 of the flake itself, you just know there are lots of crumbly bits still left at the end of the wrapper; i have to lift the wrapper with the bits of flake left in it up to my mouth and pour the remainder in! I find its the only way to try to ensure you don't get covered in chocolaty crumbs and no waste either!

I gave my kids their eggs yesterday; my daughter has been good and still hasn't started on her cadbury egg ( i think she has eaten the flakes though!) and my son has nearly finished it all; perhaps i should have rationed them a bit more, but it is easter! They havn't ate their other egg yet though! I even have one left over for myself!
Yes, these easter eggs/flakes are fattening; there is no escaping that i am afraid; but they are truly delicious. Highly recommend. You might be able to get some great bargains on them if there are any left in the shops!
Summary: Smooth tasting hollow egg with deliciously crumbly cadbury flakes
