Advantages: Candy pops well and chocolate is lovely.

Disadvantages: Candy could have been flavoured.

Well, its only coming up for the end of September and ALREADY the christmas choccies are up on the shelves! In our local Co-op is a shelve of Cadbury christmas delights. These include: Cadbury wishes stars, Snow bites, solid chocolate snowmen and these magic elves.
I bought 6 of these bars to share with my family and we thought they are a cute little treat.

The Packaging:
These come in the traditional Cadbury purple packaging. They were sold in 1 elf packaging but i've heard you can get big packages of about 10, but i haven't seen them being sold around here so maybe thats just in specific places.
I didn't count how many designs of different elves there were, but all 6 of mine were different. they all had different names and different elve pictures on the front of the packaging. a few of ours were: Emerald, Ruby, Topaz and Citrine. All had different back stories.
Emeralds was: Devises ideas and designs for gifts that match the recipient, writes on all gifts (Christmas wishes and instructions) and wraps every present that leaves the North Pole - however, has a very bad temper and often wraps up other elves when cross.
These are quite nice for kids as they have different little stories on that they can enjoy.

The bar:
When taking the bar out of its packet, it is sort of a slightly smaller and thinner version of a Freddo frog. It has a elve design engraved into the choclate, agian, this will appeal more to kids eating this bar.

The taste test:
Well, the chocolate is the good old Dairy milk bar, which i do love. Creamy and sweet. The new addition to this bar is it has popping candy! The candy pops wonderfully in the mouth and works really well! It dosen't have a flavour, just a sweet, sugar taste. I think i would have been cool for each elve to maybe have a different flavour. (i'e Ruby has strawberry popping candy.)

My thoughts and ratings:
I think this was a fun little treat, as did my family. I think that in future they should try out flavoured popping candy and see what public think! I think 1 elve comes to the price of 20p. This isn't awful, and if you are out shopping and the kids want a treat, it won't break the bank and is just the right size not to fill you up to much but to give you a choccie hit!
I rate this bar 4 out of 5!

Summary: a nice treat and just right for kids!
