My little sister is 2 and this is the first year she's ever cared or been interested in Easter, luckily it's been dead warm and dry in Birmingham today so when I went out to get a McDonalds for brekkie this morning I grabbed this Easter Egg Trail Pack from the shop down the road. She's got a bucket that came with an egg she had a couple of weeks ago from playgroup so I thought I'd hide the eggs in the garden and round the porch for her to find.
The pack comes in the same shape as in the photo Dooyoo have got, it's kind of basket shaped and very bright because it's meant to be for kids. On the back there are puzzles and a little colouring picture but that's a bit stupid because the cardboard is proper shiney so my sisters crayons or coloured pencils didn't work on the picture and that did her head in a bit.
In the pack you get 18 eggs. 6 of these are a bit bigger than Kinder eggs, they're hollow and made of yummy Cadburys chocolate. The chocolate is a bit sweeter than Dairy Milk and I reckon that's because it's made specially for kids. These bigger eggs are hollow but the chocolate on them was quite thick and a toddler my sisters age would deffo only need 1 at a time because the chocolate is so sweet that if she ate any more she'd have been sick.
As well as the big eggs you also get 6 mini Cream Eggs and 6 mini Caramel Eggs. They're all wrapped up individually so can be put round the garden without you having to look for clean places to put unwrapped eggs, I remember my dad buying a pack of hunting eggs once but they wasn't wrapped up so he had to HIDE them in stupid places where they wouldn't get dirty! lol
I paid £5.00 for this Trail Pack this morning and that's expensive I suppose for what you get but it's the convenience of having all the eggs in one pack and not have to go round to different shops finding eggs. The 18 eggs would do for a group of kids but because my sister was on her own this morning we let her find them all and have put a few up for her but the Cream Eggs and Caramel Eggs we're all going to share over the day.
Recommended..... making the Easter bunny come to life for my little sister!!!
Cadburys in my opinion is a fantastic confectionary product. I love the taste of their chocolate and they seem to be able to wave that magic wand over everything they do. Cadbury's has been going for over 100 years now and they have made a lot of products in their time. This easter egg hunt is one of their newer products.
I am always looking for something slightly different at Easter. Just giving a shop bought egg always seems pretty thoughtless to me so I try to use a little more imagination. One thing is though, Im such a fan of Cadburys that a lot of the other chocolate types are not as good. The cheaper easter eggs, with what I call fake chocolate in just dont taste the same!
Cadburys seemed to solve my dilemma by selling something that added a bit more imagination yet garunteed the chocolate to be good as it had that Cadburys brand name!
In this cardboard easter egg hunt box (great as its recyclable) everything you need for a little hunt is contained. Some trail stuff, some pens and cardboard and mini eggs, lots of them, which of course taste great.
Obviously if you bought the contents of this box yourself and put it together you would end up paying a lot less, so in this case you do pay for the convenience of buying it all in one box, but that is the same for many products. It is great to see something a little bit different on the market at Easter!
