Advantages: Bargain (15p), sweet creamy texture
Disadvantages: Small
Despite its bargain price of 15p, I have to be honest and say that I wonder how this chocolate bar has lasted for so long, indeed it tends to be the bar which is frequently included in Christmas selection boxes and eaten last. Although the old 1980s adverts describe the bar as "just enough" in my opinion a finger of fudge is never going to be quite enough to give your kids a treat. However, I would say that the creamy fudge, together with the obvious quality of Cadburys chocolate must be the reason why Cadburys have continued to make the decision to keep this bar on the market rather than discontinue it. Indeed, if you didn't have a particularly sweet tooth, you might say that such a bar is the right amount to give someone a treat. I would argue however that a good marketing idea might be to bring out the finger of fudge as a two finger chocolate bar, at a comparable price to other similar Cadbury's chocolate bars.
Summary: One for those on a budget, with either not a very sweet tooth or a small appetite.
