Cadbury's Mini Eggs
Advantages: taste nice
Disadvantages: not many in a pack
Cadburys Mini Eggs have never been a favourite of mine but for some reason I am bought them again every easter, even after I say I prefer other chocolates. This year I received a bag of mini eggs and a mini egg easter egg and my first thought was not these again.
I opened the Easter egg and gave the easter egg to my gran, as I don't like those either, and to be polite I ate the small bag of mini eggs. I found that for some reason I actually enjoyed them this time and opened the bag straight after.
Mini eggs come in a bright yellow bag with a picture of the mini eggs along the bottom. This packet has been a similar bag for as long as I can remember. The bag contains 100g of mini eggs and when I first opened the packet I was disappointed how many little eggs were actually in the bag. It wasn't even a quarter of the bag full.
The mini eggs themselves are little (or mini) solid milk chocolate eggs covered in a sugar shell. The eggs have a delicious Cadbury chocolate, which in my opinion is the best chocolate, and they tasted lovely when the chocolate melts in my mouth. The egg shell is as stated crispy and I really like how it's crispy but not too crispy.
The eggs look pretty in pastel coloured shells with little speckles making them look very cute. They come in white, pink, purple, yellow and more (I think, I've eaten all mine so I can't see the colours!)
There are 245 calories in half a bag. I presume this is a lot but I don't take notice of these things so I have no idea.
The eggs have milk and may contain nuts and soya in them for those who have allergies.
I always eat these eggs straight from the packet but a popular use for them is to make chocolate crispy cakes and put them on top of the nest. I do this a lot with children and they love it, especially the eating part (and sneakily eating an egg!)
I have definitely changed my mind about these eggs and would recommend them but they are still not my favourites.
Summary: good little eggs
