Advantages: Nice, Lots of flavours
Disadvantages: 200g Dairy Milk Bar
Every Christmas I always buy one of those massive tins of Cadburys Roses. This Christmas the tins have changed. All the strawberry and orange chocolates have been scrapped in favour of new ones.
You will also find that 200g worth of chocolate is actually a large dairy milk bar, which I feel is a bit of a con. When you buy a tin of Roses, you expect to get a whole tin a roses not a bar of chocolate that is worth about a pound.
I still enjoy Roses though, and I like the new wrappers and the two new additions.
When you buy Roses you get twelve different types of chocolate. Here's a run down.
Brazilnut, this consists of a Brazilnut encased in Cadbury's chocolate, I'm not to keen on these ones, and I would say these are my least favourite.
Caramel, this is hard caramel surrounded by Cadbury's chocolate, I'm not to keen on these either, as I hate anything hard, the caramel seems to stick to your teeth for ages.
Noisette Moment, this is a new addition, these are quite nice, they are kind of like a whisper bar, only the chocolate taste is richer.
Nutty Truffle Log, these are shaped like a log, inside consists of finely chopped nut, surroounded by a thin layer of chocolate, these are really nice.
Fudge, fudge is ok, but a find it quite a boring sort of chocolate, in fact it is too boring to be part of the Roses brigade.
Cadbury's Dairy Milk, these a minature dairy milk bars, these taste the same as the ordinary dairy milk, only they are smaller.
Caramel Truffle, these are nice, inside is smooth creamy caramel, that explodes as you bite.
Chocolate Bite, this is another new one, and one of my favourites, you have got to taste these to describe the flavour, they are very unique.
Hazel in caramel, these are similar to the big purple one, inside is nuts, caramel and chocolate, a perfect combination.
Caramel Keg, I love these, they are shaped lik
e little barrels, inside is full of smooth caramel, which is surrounded by thick chocolate.
Hazel Whirl, these are nice as well, these are very nutty, don;t bite into these too quick those, as you will hurt your teeth.
Truffle Chunk, basically a big chuck of chocolate.
All in all I believe Roses are still the best, and the two new additions are very nice. I think I would be more happy if they got rid of the 200g dairy milk bar, and if they introduced the orange flavoured ones again.
