Wispas are back and i am so incredibly happy!
Wispas were first introduced in 1981, and lasted until 2003 when they were taken off the shelves. throughout the wispa's life time product varieties were introduced such as the Wispa Gold which i loved also, as well as mint wispa and wispa bite, which has biscuit bites in it.
It was not until October of 2007 when a petition bought Wispa back onto the UK shelves, after a box of Wispas were sold on Ebay, with profits going to charity.
Except for a few minor adjustments the packaging hasnt changed all that much, and the taste hasnt changed either!
Wispa's are compared to Aero which i can understand as they are both 'bubbly' chocolate. However the wispa is more confined bubbles, the chocolate was also more velvety. It feels like you get more with a wispa than with an aero.
I loved wispas when i was younger and i love them again now.
Summary: everyone should try a Wispa, especially those who remember them in the 80's
