Cadbury Twirl Bites
Advantages: tasty, cadbuy chocolate, easy to eat the bag
Disadvantages: can be expensive when not on offer
On a recent trip to Tesco I spotted new bags of Cadbury's Twirl Bites, as I love Twirl bars I could not resist trying these. Also to add to the temptation they were on a buy one get one free offer. I don't usually by the grab bags of chocolate's and sweets unless they are on a good promotion as I find them rather expensive, but as these were new they made it quickly into my shopping basket.
I paid only £1.99 for a 165g bag, but as I stated above they were on a buy one get one free promotion. I thought this was pretty good value but I would not buy them at full price as I think it would be cheaper to buy normal twirl bars.
The twirl bites come in a waxy feeling bag, you open the bag by tearing along the top and if you can resist not eating the whole bag then you can use the sticky tab on the bag to reseal the bag for later. I think this is a great feature to have on the packaging as it allows the chocolate to stay contained in the packet and keeps it nice and fresh.
~~~~~Nutritional Information ~~~~~
As with any chocolate you are not going to find anything in them that is particularly good for you, but we all need a treat once in a while. Each serving which is stated to be one quarter of the bag of bites contains the following:
Calories - 220kcal
Sugars - 23.1g
Fat - 12.5g
Saturates - 7.7g
Salt - 0.10g
Twirl is very similar to a flake with the only difference being that the twirl is coated in an outer layer of chocolate. This to me makes all the difference as it means unlike a flake you do not get the chocolate crumbling everywhere. This is prevented even more with the twirl bites as each one is just the right size to pop straight into your mouth, so no chocolate falling flakes at all! The twirl bites are very addictive, the creamy Cadbury's milk chocolate just melts in your mouth and tastes so creamy. I will certainly be looking out for these being on offer again and stocking up with them.
Summary: mini twirls in a bag!
