Advantages: tasty
Disadvantages: fattening!
I bought a Cadbury's Twirl, for old times sake last night simply because I hadn't had one in years and I wanted to see if they tasted as good as I remembered!
I bought it from a Somerfield Local store so there were other appealing options available but the Twirl caught my eye so I had to have it! It was 52p for a 43 gram bar of chocolate, so its probably one of the cheaper bars around.
The packaging is reminiscent of the original Cadbury's Dairy Milk bars. The distinctive purple colour with a metallic sheen and quite large, bright yellow lettering. Nothing too fancy but it's instantly recognisable and I don't think they have ever changed the wrapper in all the years that they have been selling them!
I was going to enjoy mine with a cup of tea. When I opened the wrapper the chocolatey aroma was delicious! The snack consists of two bars for that "intense chocolate hit" as the tag line goes!
The flavour was just wonderful, just the same as a dairy milk but obviously with a different texture. It is similar to a Flake I suppose because it can be pretty crumbly and hard to eat at times! It has gone one step better than Flake though, because not only is it like a Flake bar, but it has been dipped in chocolate again! Just for extra pleasure and enjoyment! Not to mention calories...
There had to be a catch somewhere,
Per finger you get:
1.5 grams of protein
11.9 grams of carbohydrate
6.6 grams of fat
Thats just per SINGLE finger! I do not possess the self control to just have one finger and leave the other one in the fridge! So I am consuming a ridiculous amount of fat in one sitting when I choose to have this. NOT good! :(
Summary: good for when you need that instant chocolate hit!
