I wouldn't say I am a huge fan of chocolate, but there are one or two bars that I really do like and one of them is Cadbury Twirl. I rarely buy them however as they are just so moreish I always want another!!
Cadbury Twirl is a two finger chocolate bar, with what I describe as flake wrapped in smooth milk chocolate. The texture of the two styles of chocolate together is really nice as you get the smooth feeling as you bite into the finger and then the crumbliness of the inside. I think this is one of the main reasons I enjoy it so much. I also love how this chocolate just melts in your mouth, just like a flake but not messy!
The packaging of the chocolate bar is a purple foil wrapper with TWIRL written in bright yellow lettering, this makes it instantly noticeable on the shelf. Twirl was originally launched in Ireland as a single finger product and became a two-finger product when it arrived in the UK.
Coating: Milk solids (14% minimum), cocoa solids (25% minimum), milk and vegetable fat.
Flake: Milk, sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, vegetable fat, emulsifier (E442) and flavourings
As with most chocolate, a twirl bar isn't the most healthy thing you could eat - there is 13.3g of fat in just one bar which is 19% of the RDA of a tyical adult, and 230 calories! I would definately say this is something you should have as a treat! In my local shop, a twirl bar will set you back around 53p which is quite expensive for a bar of chocolate and you would probable save quite a bit of money buying a multi pack - but can you resist eating more than one?
The twirl has also now made its appearance in the miniature heroes range which I love as you get loads of mini bars in a tin and I always try and get a stash before everyone dives in!
Thank you for reading my review :)
