Advantages: 39p
Disadvantages: Taste and texture
I visited ikea the other night after work, to get a few bits that I wanted, but I always have to have a look around there food store, as they have some interesting products, and they are all pretty cheap.
I got this chocolate as it was 39p for 100g, what a bargain I thought......until I ate it. I also got a bar of hazelnut chocolate for the same price which was really nice, but this one was really disappointing.
I can't remember the nutritional info, but with chocolate I don't really like to look anyway, it ruins the pleasure for me. It did say on the packet 30% cocoa though, I have no idea if that is good or not though.
The packaging of this chocolate was fairly plain, and it had a few different languages on there so no-one could mistake that it was milk chocolate.
The chocolate itself looked ok when I opened the packet and it had little blocks marked out on to make it easier to break up and share, or give away after you have tasted it! It looked a lovely light creamy brown colour and smelled quite nice too.
The taste of this chocolate was not great. It had a vague chocolate taste, but was not creamy at all, it was very sweet. It also became a strange texture when I bit into it, it didn't melt like you expect chocolate to it crumbled like a hard cheese and was not very pleasant. It had a strange oily texture after it had crumbled and melted a bit, and I found the whole experience quite strange.
Needless to say I wouldn't really recommend this chocolate. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to this, and it's not worth wasting your 39p on it. A real disappointment.
Summary: Wouldn't recommend, even for the cheap price.
