      Lover of Kinder Bueno

Grazing the supermarket aisles in a supermarket in Rome, I spotted Ferrero Duplo, a Kinder Bueno-like chocolate bar I have not tried before, hence deciding to check it out.

Each bar is individually wrapped, and each pack contains six bars. Unwrapping each bar, you will see three squares (more like spheres) of chocolate which can be broken off and shared. Given that there is only three, who would want to share!?

Beneath the luscious milk chocolate covering is a crispy wafer biscuit surrounding a whole hazelnut swimming in hazelnut cream.

I wasn't exactly sure what to make of this as it did appear to be very similar to Kinder Bueno, but since I hadn't seen it sold in the UK I definitely had to give it a try, and taking the first bite, it did remind me of Bueno due to the wafer and chocolate on top, but the existence of a whole hazelnut in the centre gives the chocolate a lot more texture variation, and overall, gives you something to chomp on.

I like the sweetness of the overall chocolate bar, and it isn't overly indulgent. It is just the right amount in each bar as well, enough to give you a lasting treat, but not too much to make you feel guilty about eating it.

We bought it for around 2 Euros (I think) so it isn't bad in terms of price.

For those who want to try something similar, I would recommend Kinder Bueno. I don't know where else they sell this, if indeed they do sell it in the UK; If you know where, let me know!!!

On the whole, a lovely chocolate bar that is sure to make a nice variation to Kinder Bueno, but they go next to each other in terms of quality, taste and value. Both are absolutely splendid. I guess you really can't go wrong with the brands Kinder or Ferrero.
