I don't eat chocolate much and this Ferrero Rocher is the first chocolate I love. You can possibly find it anywhere around the world, one of the most recognized confectionery brand in the world. Some people think it's overpriced but I've tried many chocolates with higher price but not half as good. These balls come in many different sized boxes. It's often retailed at 4 pounds for a 300-gram box (24 chocolate balls), there is also 200-g box (16 balls), 375-gram box, and even 4-ball box. And there are some special shaped boxes for special occasions as well, e.g. heart shape, star shape, etc.

In terms of price, Ferrero Rocher has a very simple box, just a clear plastic one with their logo on. You can actually see all the chocolate balls in it. The balls are individually wrapped in foils and have a sticker with the name on them. Nothing special, really.

I always fancy the combination of nuts & chocolate and I don't eat any other chocolate but nutty ones. And Ferrero Rocher is just so perfect. The ball is about walnut size. The outer layer is rich sweet milk chocolate with chopped hazelnuts, covering a thin wafer shell filled with hazelnut cream, and the last part is a whole roast hazelnut.

The chocolate is sweet but the whole hazelnut & wafer thing even it out, I also take time to eat it to enjoy all the sweetness and nuttiness and it feels like heaven. It's crunchy & tasty at the same time.

Each ball contains 72 kcal and regarding the price, it's more like of a treat in special occasions than for everyday eating. It's suitable for veggies as well. There are other varieties in a box called ferrero collection but the original one is simply the best.

I remember every Lunar New Year holidays when I was back home, someone would give my parents some boxes of these and I always kept all of them, not sharing with anyone (I was a kid lol). I loved it so much that I always hided it carefully to make sure no one could take any.

These are on promotions sometimes, esp this time of the year - Christmas time, and this is a perfect gift for ur loved ones or esp yourself, but remember not to eat too much!
