      I really enjoyed the original 'Echo' bars and I love mint chocolate so when I saw these I was more than happy to give them a go!

      My mum bought them to try out and when I saw them in her kitchen cupboard I helped myself!

      The 'Echo' bar consists of a biscuit base with a layer of bubbly mint chocolate on top and then another layer of milk chocolate on top of that.

      The biscuit is a chocolate biscuit that is divided into three seperate pieces in a line. I found that the biscuit part is nice and crunchy and not too sweet. The biscuit is then covered in a very thin layer of milk chocolate and the chocolate fills the gaps of the seperated pieces of biscuit. I found that this gives the chocolate bar a nice feel when you bite into it because it isn't just biscuit all the way through, it has two bits of chunky chocolate in the middle!

      The bubbly milk chocolate is soft and it melted in my mouth when I was eating it. I found that the bubbles made the biscuit nice and light. The mint is not too over powering, which I thought was quite good because some chocolate bars that contain mint can be quite strong.

      Each biscuit contains:
      - 126 calories
      - 12.1g of sugar
      - 6.6g of fat
      - 4.0g of saturates
      - 0.12g of salt

      Overall I think that this biscuit is a very nice and light snack but don't let it fool you because even though it is light, it still contains quite a few calories!

      Great Tasting, Classy Biscuit.

      Mmmm.... Minty Chocolate.

      I'm a big fan of this delicious combination.

      So, when I picked up a pack of Fox's Echo Mint Bars, I was pretty much guaranteed that good times were ahead... or was I????

      I don't often purchase Fox's biscuits, as they tend to be a little bit pricey and I worry that their smart packaging and general air of aloofness might upset my other biscuits. I mean the last thing I want is some kind of revolution kicking off in the biscuit tin, I'd be sweeping up the crumbs for weeks!

      In my local supermarket, these were on offer at half price, so I felt that I could not ignore this bargain and was therefore willing to risk the repercussions.

      So what do you get for the extra pennies?

      A shiny finger with the word "Echo" embossed on it, coated in rich chocolate that is smooth and bubbly below the surface, a strong minty flavour that isn't too overpowering and a crunchy biscuit base.

      This is one chocolate biscuit that most definitely has aspirations to become a chocolate bar.

      Moreish? Yes!
      Sickly? No!

      Simply divine.

      Yay for the veggies! Yowser for the calories!

      I'm feeling a little guilty about scoffing the whole pack now....

      Little view into my world:

      After a chocolate and mint biscuit, I rather enjoy a packet of cheese and onion crisps. Somehow the flavour seems to be enhanced by the lingering minty taste.

      Unfortunately this doesn't appear to be the same with drinking orange juice after a minty biscuit. Yuck!

      You live and learn.

      So, an expensive treat but well worth it I'd say. Look out for offers and fill your boots when they are half price.

      I'm off to run up and down the stairs a few times in a futile attempt to burn off some of those calories.

      Thanks for reading.

        Fox's Echo Mint Bars - chocolate biscuit base, mint bubbly centre and chocolate coating.

        I don't eat that many chocolate biscuits, so when I do, I really want something special and Fox's Echo Mint Bars do not disappoint. To be honest, I feel these are more like a bar of chocolate than a biscuit, as they are quite substantial.

        Fox's Echo Mint Bars come in a very eye catching black, matt wrapper, with artistic butterfly designs covering it. Inside you find 6 individually wrapped chocolate bars, which are long and thin and remind me in shape of a Twix finger.

        Once opened, you find yourself with a sweet, chocolatey smelling biscuit. The chocolate on the outside is smooth and glossy, with the word 'echo' in raised letters on the rounded top. It is a very attractive biscuit and I look forward to my first bite, which turns out to be quite a sensation.

        On top, my teeth crack through the smooth creamy chocolate shell and sink into a fluffy textured, minty centre. At the same time, my bottom teeth crunch through a chocolate biscuity base. The mint flavouring is just right in my opinion. I love mint and you can definitely taste it in this biscuit, but it is not so strong that it draws your cheeks together!
        The texture is also perfect, managing to be bubbly, fluffy and light, but still have some substance and bite to it. I love the chocolate biscuit too. It tastes fresh and has a great crunch and although you can really taste the sweet, chocolate flavour, it isn't sickly in any way. The combination of flavours and textures is amazing and I would definitely buy these again.

        Fox's Echo Mint Bars are available in Tesco for £1.49, but are on special offer until 11th May for £1 only, which is a pretty good buy.

        I find these quite a substantial biscuit and have been known to give them to my kids instead of a chocolate bar occasionally. They still get their chocolate treat and I can save a few pennies at the same time.

        I would be happy to recommend these biscuits and award them 5 stars.

          An okay chocolate hit

          Fox's Echo Mint Biscuits.............

          Begrudging paying my £3 per month tea and coffee fund at work seeing as I do a total of 15 measly hours per week I do make the most of the food and drinks that there is available by scoffing my face whilst at work and subsequently missing meals when getting home. The Fox's Echo bars are the latest thing to have been purchased by the lady who does the tea fund and I was pleasantly surprised.

          Not being a big fan of mint chocolate I was reluctant at first to try them but there wasn't much else that looked even closely tempting so what was I meant to do! Any how it was the last one, vultures that the rest of them are so I had to act fast. I have previously had the regular Echo Chocolate Bar so was pretty much expecting the same thing but with a mint flavour which is exactly what I got.

          The bar is made up of three sections. There is a lovely biscuit bottom which is light but crunchy and tastes really nice and then on top of this is the smooth bubbly fondant type filling which I do believe most of the mint flavour is and then this is all wrapped up with a good covering of chocolate all over the outside.

          The bar itself was rather nice and not overly strong in mint taste which for me was a very good thing. The chocolate was smooth and creamy and gave a very rich taste to my mouth. The soft filling was light and the mint actually gave it a rather refreshing taste which I found enjoyable. The biscuit base just really brought the whole bar together giving it a bit of bite that it did need.

          I think the Mint Echo all in all was a good eat. I don't personally think it is something I would buy for home due to the fact that both Myself and Himself are not overly Mint chocolate eaters. I do know that these bars are often on special offer in Morrison's for a great price of around 60p for the 6 bars you get in a packet which is a half price offer.

          The one bad side of eating this bar at work means that I have scoffed a whopping 126 calories and 4 grams of saturated fat! This isn't particularly good especially as the bar is not overly large. However I have got to get my monies work to make my £3 per month work for me so I can't complain.

          Overall I think a fair score of 3 out of 5 stars is what this product deserves and a recommendation.

          Many thanks for taking the time to read.

          I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.

            Would appeal to most people I would think !

            In our house we seem to always go for the mint version of anything that comes out new, be it Kitkats, Club Biscuits,Viscount ect... so when I saw these in the Supermarket it was a must have. So a couple of packets went into the trolley. When unpacking my shopping back home my Daughter gets all excited as she tells me these are her favourite biscuits, especially after a heavy night out!

            I can't remember buying them before, but thats probaly because I wouldn't usually eat anything like this, so it is time for the sake of Dooyoo to get trying so I can write a proper review ( Great excuse!).

            These come in a pack of 6 and the packaging has a modern green and white look to it, with the word Echo written across the front, it quotes that there are "6 temptingly smooth mint chocolate with a crunchy biscuit base" I think they forgot to put the word finger or stick on as it doesn't make any sense otherwise.

            Once opened you will find six individually wrapped bars, now on the back of the outer wrapper it does say once opened keep in an airtight containter, now I don't know why as they are wrappped individually anyway and I just put mine into the fridge door.

            Now once taken out of their wrapper they consist of being a long thick chocolate finger, that when you bite into will discover the taste of the very minty centre which is a bit on the bubbly side a bit like an Areo with a delicous very crunchy bottom. These seem to be a bit bigger that the normal biscuit bars that you can buy and are very moreish indeed, although having said that I think if you did eat two you could start to to feel a bit on the sick side as they are very rich.

            I must say I don't normally eat these sort of things, but this would definitely be one that I would consider eating in the future if choosing a chocolate bar. Needless to say the two packets didn't last very long that weekend.

            Each chocolate bar contains;

            ~~~Calories 126~~~
            ~~~Sugars 12.1g~~~
            ~~~Fat 6.6g~~~
            ~~~Saturates 4.0g~~~
            ~~~Salt 0.12g~~~
            They also contain Cows milk, Soya, Wheat, Gluten.
            You can buy this in an orange and a milk chocolate version as well. The usual cost of a packet of 6 is around the £1-£1.50 and can be found in most supermarkets. These are manufactured by Fox Biscuits who make all the great biscuits that we find on our supermarket shelves!
            Most definitely worth 5 stars!
