~*~*Can't Resist A Bargain!~*~* Not so long ago I reviewed the 'classic' Rocky biscuit. There's something about writing a review that seems to make me more aware of similar products, or variations from the same range. When I noticed that the caramel version of the Rocky biscuit was selling in Lidl for the bargain price of £0.75 I just had to get a pack and try them - oh, and let the men in the house have a taste, too! A more typical price would be in the region of £1.59, as currently in Tesco, though they are not infrequently seen on offer at £1, along with others in the range. ~*~*Wrapped Up~*~* The packaging for these caramel biscuits ... Biscuit, with a caramel topping, all coated in chocolate. Kind of like a twix, but flatter - and nicer :-) The difference is in the proportions - this is a thinner biscuit with a more generour serving of caramel They don't have quite the same sugar "hit" as the Fox's Classic but when you want something a bit less intense, or with just a bit more flavour than straight sugar then these hit the spot. It's almost like the poor man's caramel (Millionaire's) shortbread - the same idea and very tasty but not quite as rich. The caramel is lovely, and smooth, and there is enough of it to taste properly (compared with some chocolate bars which ... Read the complete review

I do like to have a little snack at around 3pm every work day with the obligatory 3pm cup of tea. This usually means a chocolate bar of some sort, to help me get though the final few hours of the working day. A regular staple at this point is a Fox's Rocky Caramel Bar. This is a chunky milk chocolate and caramel covered biscuit. Fox's State that these are rugged biscuit, smooth caramel. I'm not quite sure about the 'rugged' bit up these bars are super tasty. The chocolate is really thick and milky (what I mean is that it tastes really smooth and creamy, because for me some milk chocolate is not milky enough but this is just great). The caramel filling ... Read the complete review

I've gone a bit mad on these Caramel Rocky bars just lately, I'm cutting down at the minute and these are a nice small chocolate biscuit but the caramel in them makes it feel like you're eating a bar of chocolate. There are still shedloads of calories in one but not as many as a Whole Nut! lol It's about the size of a Club but the ends are a bit of an oval shape, that makes them look smaller but they're not really because the biscuits are quite tall. The chocolate on them is milk chocolate and it's yummy. It's quite thick on the biscuit and when you bite through it the chocolate is soft and it melts nice in your mouth. That means it also melts ... Read the complete review

Fox's Rocky caramel bar, a quick and cheerful way to beat of chocolate cravings without piling on the pounds. A great addition to packed lunches or to have with a mid-morning cup of tea or coffee these little bars seem to always find their way into my shopping basket. Sold in packs of 9 (DooYoos picture seems to say 10, but my pack is 9) each individual biscuit is wrapped in a cheerful yellow wrapper with the brand name across the centre, it is described as being a "Rugged biscuit with smooth caramel", personally I think the term "Rugged" is pushing it a bit but nevertheless its the taste thats important, especially with ...
