My kids sometimes enjoy a Kinder egg exactly the same as I did when I was a kid. I still even have a complete collection of turtles from a collection they done over 20 years ago. Not sure why I've kept them but I have lol.
My daughter picked up a 20p lolly in the shop and I said no get something else as she already had an unopened lolly at home. Instead she came back with a Kinder egg. I gave her £1 and stood back as she paid for her purchase and then I took the change from the shop assistant, a whole 1p, shocked I said was that egg really 99p and yes it really was, I wished I'd just let her get the lolly. You can buy multi packs in stores such as Lidi's often £1 something for box of 3. I feel £1 is a lot for what you actually get.
For the 99p she got her chocolate egg and a little toy car which needed to be made up. Each time you get an egg there is a different toy or puzzle inside. You can get little made up figure toys, cars, puzzles, stickers etc. The majority of things will need some fiddling about with to build the contents.
Each egg is covered in a white and orange coloured foil with Kinder surprise on it. Kinder are easily identified by their orange and white packaging.
When open you will have a milk chocolate egg on the outside which has a very thin layer of chocolate and when you break it open the centre has a plastic pot which holds the toy in. The inside of the chocolate egg is white chocolate so you have milk chocolate on the outside and white on the inside. Even though the chocolate is a small amount it is very nice tasting.
The plastic pot for the toy has a flip up lid and will contain a piece of paper in it too with instructions on how to make up the toy or what it is. Usually on the reverse of this paper it will show you what other items are available in that particular collection.
Kids do seem to love these but due to the price I don't get them often, plus the toys usually end up scattered around. When my son had one recently though it had a plastic plane inside, the wings were rolled up small and it was surprising the size of the plane seeing as it had come out of this little pot. Some toys still survive being played with but some fall apart too easily.
These do mean kids have two treats in one, the chocolate and the toy.
Summary: Lovely tasting chocolate with a toy treat inside
