These little goodies are chocolate eggs filled with tubs with toys... What isn't to love right?
Being on a diet is difficult and as such I like to occasionally have one of these (maybe two a week), and my boyfriend also enjoys them - for the toys...
Each egg is larger than a chicken egg, and is made up of two layers of chocolate. The outer layer is milk chocolate, and the inner is white chocolate. Each of the layers is about 1mm thick -so although they are not on my diet plan when I fall with one of these I haven't fallen as far as I could. Each egg contains 113 Kcal, and 7.1g of fat.
They come wrapped in a thin tin foil wrapper, and are often sold in packs of three. Price range from 50p (at a local discount store) to 86p, and around £1.29 for the three packs. I have to say be careful as if they get broken on the way home, it can be a disappointment.
Each egg comes with a capsule that contains a toy. The best ones require some assembly, and recently we have had such toys as a small triangle Frisbee and a glider plane.
Other toys are what I would deem collectable (for a short period, and only until I have a good old fashioned clear out), such as the Loony toons range, and the monsters inc collection. This can still require a small amount of assembly - but usually not much.
Other toys can be disappointments - the small plastic lump range I lovingly refer to them as. These can come in a range of shapes, and at the moment include animals from the poles. They are often cat in a basket type toys, and even these have a set of instructions.
Each capsule comes with a full set of instructions - telling you how to put the toy together, and showing the other toys in the same range. They also have a list of small print instructions and safety guidance - for example no child under three should be allowed these, and adult supervision is advised for younger children due to small parts. I have to say this is something that I would stick to. The bits for the models can be small and spikey - not something that should be swallowed...
Personally I love these eggs - and toys. I enjoy them, and so do my nieces and nephews. the plastic lump toys can be a disappointment, but they will always occupy us for a time. When working with teens who had bee excluded from mainstream school they worked as conversation starters. There are actually websites online dedicated to swapping and selling the toys.
Personally I feel the eggs are large enough to give me a sweet fix, and they work to occupy children and adults of all ages. Personally I recommend them - to virtually anyone. Definitely a five star product rating from me...
Summary: Such a nice little treat
