One of the many things that my kids received for Christmas was of course sweets. Shed loads of sweets to be more specific, hence the review!

The product I will now review is " Kinnerton, Thomas and friends chocolates"

The box was of course a bog draw for my son. The box has a large picture of Thomas in the centre, around the edges of the picture there is clear plastic showing the contents within, tantalising enough for any child to start begging for a sweet!

Across the top it states that this box contains 16 solid chocolate miniature figures, all Thomas themed. There is also a "nut safety promise" in the right hand corner, for more information on this promise visit,
      www.kinnerton.com
Though the back of the packaging states that this brand has gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure that this product has been made safely to ensure the consumption of this product by people with nut and peanut allergies. Of course if you suffer with this type of allergy forewarned is fore armed so take a look at the website.

When you open the box you will see that the chocolates are all in there own space and in so doing it keeps the chocolates in tip top condition.
There are a selection of figures and sizes. There are a few different types rather than taking two different characters then repeating the pattern.
The sizes again vary, these range from around 2-3 cm through to 6-7 cm, this makes these sometimes not the best thing to give the younger children as in my opinion could offer a chocking problem, though with the larger ones this should be no problem.

The taste of these is quite nice. These are never going to as nice as Cadburys chocolate but for the price they are no were near as bad as "cheap" chocolate is.
There is a sweet and creamy taste to the sweets, but are not as chocolaty as you would expect or even want. There is no greasy aftertaste as you get with cheap chocolate, but there is no aftertaste of chocolate left either, with Cadburys products you get a slightly longer enjoyment from them, this disappears as soon as it's swallowed.
The chocolate is as advertised solid pieces, these have a nice bite to them but is not too brittle or too soft, perfect in fact.

The nutritional information is as follows -

      Per sweet (2.7g),
      14 kcals
      0.1 protein
      1.6g carbohydrates
      1.6g of which sugars
      0.8g fat
      0.5g of which saturates

This product is produced as an environmentally sound item, with all the green information geared towards the child consumer.
Each statement is written and illustrated for the child to understand, one of them being that the packaging can be recycled, so to get your parent to put in the recycle bag.

The price was a draw to me! These are available in many different formats and all for the princely sum of 99p.

Others available are Disney princess, Dora the explorer etc.....

For more information visit - afore mentioned website!

These were purchased from Wilkinsons, but are available from many supermarkets including Asda.

      Thanks for reading x
