“ Brand: Lindt „
I found this bar of Lindt Intense Pear chocolate in Poundland the other day and have just eaten half of it, it's delicious even though the taste of pear isn't as strong as I'd have liked it to be.
It's dark chocolate and the chocolate has a lovely bitter flavour that says to me that it's good quality. There's loads of pieces of pear and almonds in the bar and that makes it sweeter overall than a plain bar of dark chocolate. The pear is candied and slightly crunchy as you bite a piece, the flavour of the fruit comes out loads stronger when you do bite into the pear so it's worth chewing this chocolate instead of sucking it like I usually do with Lindt.
The almonds have got a nice sweet crunch as well and they add something different to the bar, the taste of them goes well with the chocolate and the pear pieces and I love the individual flavours as well as the taste of them all together.
I was expecting the pear taste to be stronger than it was but I still wasn't disappointed because even though it's quite faint it does lie under the dark chocolate nice and enhances it. The chocolate isn't harsh at all and I love the sweet flavour that the pear gives it, the bar tastes like a very high quality chocolate and I think the combination of pear and almonds makes it taste so special.
The chocolate bar melts gorgeous in my mouth and even though I usually like chewing this one because of making the pear pieces crunch I do sometimes suck a square. It melts to a creamy and thick consistency and just feels so luxurious and delish!
The normal price will probably be about £1.60 like all the Lindt Excellence bars and I reckon that's well worth it for such a yummy chocolate treat.
