Lindt Lindor Chocolate Truffles
Advantages: TASTY AND AN AMAZING PRESENT
Disadvantages: CALORIFIC AND EXPENSIVE
My naughty indulgence!
In one of my previous reviews, I reviewed the Lindor Lindt Chocolate Bar which I did not think that highly of however this review is about the truffles from the same range. I won't go into the history in depth as in my previous review but these are milk chocolate truffles made by chocolatiers Lindt and Sprungli under the brand name Lindt who originated in Switzerland. Lindor say "this delicious lindt chocolate shell enrobes a delectably smooth filling. Once you break its shell, the filling will start to melt, and so will you".
Lindor truffles come in a premium red cardboard box which is recyclable. The front has brand and name details and a little description of the truffles. There is a little see through window where you can see the chocolates within. The back has some company claims and a quality guarantee. There is a side panel with ingredients and company contact details can be found on the base of the box. At the top of the box there is a little tab which you pull to open and there they are!!! The truffles are individually and esquistley wrapped in a gold, white and red foil wrapper with the truffle name on it.
*Appearance and Smell*
On opening the fancy wrapper, you are greeted with a delightful and premium smell and you cannot fail to notice this is a high branded chocolate truffle. The truffle is a round football type shape which is two halves melted together with chocolate. The truffle is filled with Lindts famous melted chocolate and sealed.
sugar, vegetable fats, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder, lactose, butterfat, emulsifier (soya lectihin), barley malt extract, flavourings, vanilla. The milk chocolate contains cocoa solids 31% min, milk solids 20% min.
May contain traces of hazelnuts and almonds.

*Availability and Price*
Lindt chocolate truffles are a premium chocolate treat and can be bought in supermarkets and independant stores. They are available in a 200g box which contains approx 15 truffles and also a small box with around 4 truffles. Asda retails these at £3.92 but at present are on offer at £2 (Mothers Day).
I love sweets and chocolate but like most people, I have a special brand and type for special occasions and treats and Lindt Lindor truffles is my choice! As I am going away tomorrow with my college, my fiance and son presented my with my Mothers Day presents a day early and aswell as a book and a mug, the giftbag contained a box of my lovely truffles!
I think the packaging is very high end and unique and easily catches my eye on the supermarket shelves. I feel very special and happy unwrapping one of these beauties and placing it in my mouth, I bite into the middle and devour it slowly..oh WOW!!! The taste is divine, the smells is sweet but not overpowering. Personally I can only eat one or two in any one sitting as they are so moreish and no doubt calorific though they don't state this on the box!
My sons eyes lit up when he seen me unwrapping one of these though was immediately distracted with a few milky buttons..these are MINE!!!
I would highly recommend these as a treat though not for everyday consumption. Hubby let slip that these were down to £1 in the local Asda as most boxes were bashed but he managed to hunt down a nice unbashed one for me! It is the thought that counts!
Thanks for reading and have a lovely Mothers Day x
