Disadvantages: Price
While I'm a very big chocolate eater I must admit this is one brand of chocolate I tend to avoid. This isn't because I think it tastes particular bad, in fact its the opposite, I just simply can't afford to splash out on chocolate this expensive frequently. That being said, the price of the chocolate and the fact I eat it so rarely does add to its luxury feel which is enforced in the very creamy and rich taste.
This chocolate comes in individually wrapped spheres which due to the intense richness of the chocolate are a little hard to eat more than 3-4. I tend to buy the Milk Chocolate flavour as when I buy an assorted pack this is my favourite flavour anyway. There are other flavours however and these include white chocolate and hazelnut.
The structure of each ball is a slightly hard shell which if you keep in the mouth melts really easily and is followed by a liquid smooth chocolate within. The contrast is really delightful and makes it a pretty unique chocolate brand. One thing that I enjoy about this chocolate particularly is that on the advert they tend to feature later on in the year they show the actual making of the product and its quite tantilising to see the chocolate poured into the mold and to envision this chocolate is still made in a very old-fashioned one at a time way. The shell snaps if you bite into it but I think you get a nicer eating experience if you hold into the piece in your mouth to allow it to melt.
As I mentioned previously this chocolate is pretty expensive and for 200g it will usually cost you upwards of £4-5. If you shop around you can buy it a little cheaper, for example I bought a 200g pack from Wilkinson's earlier today for £3.50 but this is pretty rare and so you're usually looking to spend around a fiver. I must admit though for its price there is a vast amount of quality and it is a chocolate I do go back to frequently as a nice treat. It is very indulgent and so I don't think its something I'd eat all the time.
Overall this is definitely a chocolate I would recommend and the different flavours means that there's something for everyone's taste. This is the perfect treat for real chocolate lovers, although I would say its a treat and its not something I would eat regularly because its simply too rich and perhaps a little too high in calories (although I'm kidding myself to say I pay attention to this regularly). The quality is high, the taste delicious and the brand never a let down.
Summary: A very luxurious chocolate
