      Addictive Malteaser Goodness

When I grew up, every Christmas and every Birthday my parents would buy me a big box of Malteasers as I have always been a fan of the light biscuit chocolate goodness. Then came along the Easter Bunny''s which I just had to treat myself to at Easter but the Malteasers Teaser Bar is like lots of melted Malteasers all stuck together. The chocolate just melts in your mouth then you get the crunchy Malteaser centre. I''ve just finished eating one now so highly recommended

my review on the teaser bar, would recommend to everyone tastes great and I'm now addicted :)

These are absolutely lovely, really chocolaty and not too sickly unlike some chocolate about these days. I would defenetley recommend them to everyone, young or old, I was a little unsure as a don't really eat much chocolate just now and again I'll have the odd piece or maybe abit of cake ect after a meal out but I normally have to fancy it.
I tried these as my daughter brought it for me and I'm now addicted to them haha
They are just enough in the bar to fulfill a sweet tooth moment and melts in your mouth with a crunchy end, I' say they are much nicer that the original product and much more exciting and would choose them over the original product any day.
The size is perfect and the look and style of the product are great it really stands out by far, its bright, medium sized and very clear on what it says on the pack.

      A great chocolate bar

I've always loved a malteser. They bring back memories where I would spend some days with my grandparents in the holidays. While my gran was out at work in the morning, granddad and I would walk to the newsagents to pick up his paper, and without fail, I would get a bag of maltesers. I've always enjoyed the mix of melty honeycomb and that lovely layer of milk chocolate. I can't remember when I first sampled them, but I must have been perfectly happy with the spherical variety for in excess of 25 years. I was so blissfully unaware that I had never even considered an alternate construction - despite the existence of celebrations...

Then one day I walked into our local Tesco express to be immediately sucked in by the sight of a new bar shaped maltesers - maltesers teasers. They are most commonly found in the sweet aisle, with the typical red packaging and white writing you would expect from a maltesers product. They come in two sizes - an individual size 35g bar selling for around 60p, or you can stumble across a 150g block for around £2.20 - or on offer at 2 for £3 on occasion. I haven't found it as easy to track down the large bars when they aren't on offer - but when they are they are usually prominently on display somewhere near the till (in Sainsbury's and my local Tesco Express at least). The small bar is 186 calories, so not the worst indulgence.

The bar itself is shaped like a block of chocolate made of individual maltesers. But when you bite in, it is solid chocolate bursting with little bubbles of honeycomb throughout. The honeycomb is quite dense in the bar, making it quite light for a chocolate bar (not good if you are trying to resist!). As with the traditional malteser you do get a nice melty feeling in your mouth, but at the same time you have something solid to bite into. This can make it feel more satisfying than the round variety. Sadly you do lose the option of melting the chocolate off in your mouth and enjoying the pure honeycomb goodness as the little bubbles disintegrate with the chocolate.

Overall I was really impressed with the bar. I had been initially sceptical as the maltesers in Celebrations aren't as high quality as their round cousins, but was soon won over. Everyone else I have introduced it to has also really enjoyed the bar. Having the option for a large bar creates lots of opportunities for sharing after all. Although if you're one of life's naturally generous souls, you may be pleased to know that the segments on the small bar do break easily when required. If you're a maltesers fan then give them a go - especially if you see them on offer.

Nice, but I think I prefer the usual balls

Maltesers have been a confectionary favourite since the 1930's and the little balls in the red packet have been joined on the sweet shop shelves in recent years by white chocolate, orange and mint versions. Now there's a new variety, the Teasers Bar.
It's basically a bar of chocolate moulded to look as it if's been made of ten Malteser balls melted together but once you bite into it you find that it isn't made of whole Maltesers at all. It's a solid chocolate bar containing lots of little Malteser pieces so every mouthful feels like you're eating two or three normal Maltesers at once.
You know how it is, when you open a bag of Maltesers you have to keep going until you've eaten the entire lot in one sitting. Come on, it can't be just me? Well this bar seems much smaller and leaves you feeling a lot less guilty. It's just a little bar, right? But here's the twist: the bar is 35g and provides 186 kcal which is almost exactly the same as an entire small bag of the normal balls.
So it's just a different way of getting your Malteser fix. If you like them then you'll like this. It's just a question of whether you prefer your snack treats in balls or bar shaped.
