I've just eaten five Marabou Milk Chocolate pieces (hubby just ate the rest of the pack and asked me to save him from the rest). This is because Marabou chocolate is just sooo lovely.
Price: £1.98 for three rolls of 74g coins (I thought that they were like Rolos until I ate some earlier). I purchased these at Woolies, so if you want some, I'd get-em quick! This isn't a particularly cheap chocolate, but I know that you can pick it up in the food section of Ikea, and it's probably less expensive there.
Packaging: All types of Marabou are packaged in a buttery-creamy shade, and have a little picture on the front of the chocolate within. Much space is given over to ingredients and nutritional information in five languages, none of which give good news on calorie and fat content - but it's chocolate for goodness sake - any pretense diet has officially gone out of the window!
Taste: Dreamy, buttery, chocolatey, melty lovliness. This is a seriously creamy tasting chocolate; this is to Galaxy as Galaxy is to Cadburys. You actually have to force yourself not to wolf it down - allowing it to melt on your tongue takes serious will power!
I've tasted this last year when my Swedish friend brought me this chocolate bars. WOW! It's just so yummy. It's not so sweet like other chocolates but you want to grab some more after you've tasted it. I am a natural born chocolate lover but I only like few of them. I like the thought of having a chocolate bar in my purse because it stops me from craving anything, anything at all. Marabou is just so irresistible, I couldn't keep it in my purse for long because it just delicious, finger linkin' good.
Well, what do you say I have a bar now in my fridge. So I'm looking forward to eat it all by myself. It's not available in my country. so every time my friend comes here to visit the Philippines every six months, I always ask him to bring me Marabou. It's available only in some European countries. Before I get into the details, I'd like to let you all know that I got 3 bars coming this December 2008. So you can all envy me.
Marabou is now available for shipping on line.

Once upon a time... a French girl who loves chocolate and a Swedish guy who loves chocolate too. She says, 'I bet you that French chocolate is better than Swedish chocolate!'. And it's a bet! Two parcels are sent across the Northern sea. And the result? Well... I have to say it. Online. Loud. "Marabou chocolate tastes better than French chocolate." It was a shock at first, but, after all, we are all hooked on Swiss choc, so...who cares! Long live Marabou!
Marabou Chocolate. Plain or with nuts. Well what can I say that hasn’t been said already about this exquisite chocolate? It is certainly possible to become addicted to it, and it’s a certainty that you will put on the pounds if you eat too much of it. Its not your boring old Dairy Milk, it has a touch of class about it. Hubbies, who have a bit of serious creeping to do buy this chocolate, it works every time on me anyway. Taste? Well its just yummy, it’s smooth, creamy and down right delicious. (My mouth is now watering.) Price? This varies depending on where you purchase it, but the average cost is 99p. Quality? It’s just the doggy’s waggie tails isn’t it?
I am something of a chocolate expert and I can honestly say that new varieties of chocolate seldom escape me. Marabou is one of my favourites, (its very hard to choose between chocolate bars). It is smooth and very creamy but also very sweet. It leaves you with an extremely sweet buttery taste in your mouth. You can choose from nut, or plain milk chocolate. I prefer it with no nuts! I think chocolate comes in three different types (or grades). At the bottom you have ordinary everyday, boring Cadbury's chocolate that is still good to eat but I wouldn't call it anything special. This is the type of chocolate that you just eat because you fancy a snack. In the middle you have Belgian chocolate which is a little more bitter tasting than Cadbury's. This is quite nice and its good to buy for presents, etc. Then, at the top of the scale you have Marabou. There is no way I would give this away. It is sheer luxury and needs to be savoured. The trouble with this chocolate is that it is almost addictive. I have a couple of pieces and I know its too rich to eat anymore but I still do it. I always end up eating too much. If you really want to spoil yourself buy a bar of marabou, sit down comfortably infront of the TV and enjoy. (Oh, I forgot, make sure there is no one else around as you don't want to share this!)
Mmmmmmmm Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm Mmmmmmm anyway, this chocolate is sooooooooooooo tasty it does something that other chocolate fails to achieve. It is not only creamy, crumbly, smooth, yummy and damn right heaven, but it has nuts with no sodden pieces of raison - hurrah! My Dad works on an oil rig and as a special treat for when he came home every 2 weeks, he bought a huge slab of this baby back. I cant walk past it in the shops without feeling a shudder or shiver. It is a much higher standard chocolate than yacky Nestle or Cadbury's. You close your eyes when eating this for no reason at all. I can just imagine a whole river made of the stuff like in Charlie and the Chocolate factory mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Lads may want to stop reading now because, yes, i am going onto the benefits of this chocolate for when girls have their little friend at that horrific time in the monthly cycle. What happens is, we feel like shit with pains and depression and then things like crisps, Mc Donalds and chocolate come along and we immediately cheer up! Its as simple as that. But for that extra touch of class and delicacy, this chocolate trully is a marval, the packaging alone is so exciting that your little friend is forgotten about within seconds. I wonder what it tastes like when its melted, mmmmm mmmmmmmmm mmmmmm sorry, a little side tracked there. If this chocolate was a man or woman, adultery wouldnt exist. You would never stray to another chocolate or happy-enhancer when you have given this little gem a try. The pure smell when you peel back the wrapper and scrape your finger nail along the smooth back of the slab of sexy silk. The only problem is, and it is very minor, is that it is quite hard to break into pieces. Oh well. I think the most marvellous thing is that it will last ages coz one piece is enough to make you happy, although there may be a danger of addiction and a craving for more resulting in obesity and an extremely brown mouth. Try it, but you have been warned.
Marabou is a Swedish chocolate brand. The company was founded in 1916. Marabou was in 1993 purchased by Kraft Foods for NOK 3 billion.
