Being diabetic means sometimes my blood sugar levels start to fall if I haven't eaten for a while, while shopping in Boots last week I felt I needed something sweet to give me a bit of a boost and picked up a couple of bars of Galaxy Caramel, they were on offer at 2 bars for £1.00 for the 48g size bar.

Galaxy Caramel is sold in a wrapper which is mainly shades of brown, it has the Galaxy logo on the front along with Caramel which is done so it looks like its been written in caramel. The front of the wrapper informs the customer that this is Galaxy chocolate with a delicious soft caramel centre. It also gives the calorie content as 116 calories per piece, the bar is done in 2 pieces.
The back of the wrapper gives more nutritional information and the ingredients but to honest these are written in gold coloured writing against a dark brown background and are virtually impossible to read.

On opening the wrapper the chocolate smells rich and sweet, its done in 2 fingers each consisting of 3 pieces. The pieces are easy to snap of should you wish to not eat it all at once, personally I have never managed to do this. Each piece of chocolate is domed in shape and filled with delicious sweet runny caramel.

The Galaxy chocolate is lovely, really smooth and creamy. The caramel is sweet and has a lovely rich flavour. The combination of chocolate and caramel is perfect, its very indulgent.

If you like chocolate and also like caramel then I would certainly recommend trying Galaxy Caramel. Its similar to Cadburys Caramel but in my opinion the flavours are much more indulgent, the caramel and chocolate are really smooth, sweet and creamy.

Galaxy Caramel is also lovely melted down and poured over ice cream, it makes a lovely rich sauce which is quick to prepare when you don't have a lot of time.
However you eat this whether you melt it and use it as a sauce or suck the chocolate till it melts and then eat the caramel or just chew it this is a really lovely chocolate treat.
