** What are Revels? **
Revels are different flavour sweets covered in milk chocolate. There are various textures and flavours resulting in a different tasty suprise with each and every mouthful.
** Size and Price **
Well I got a big bag of revels which was the 175g size in the cinemas which of course is very overpriced so I will tell you the price of this size from my local supermarket ASDA which says this size costs £1.69.
** Packet Design and Information **
The packet is a fun snazzy bright orange, brown and pale orange stripey plastic wrapper. The title looks fun and friendly. You can tell that revels are a family style chocolate sweets in that they aren't really marketed as too posh or too childish but they are great for everyone young and old. There are illustrations of the shapes of the chocolate sweets on the front of the packet and on the back of the packet is lists the types of sweets contained inside which are ; raisin, caramel, malteaser, chocolate, orange or coffee.
The fun thing about this is it is like playing russion roulette with you sweets as they are mixed up and you don't know what flavour you are going to get. Until recently there was also a limited edition version which has a mystrey sweet flavour instead of the coffee this mystrey flavour was a fruit flavour. I believe at one point there used to be a peanut sweet but it has since been removed and replaced by the raisin flavour.
The great thing about this larger sized packet is that they are made for sharing with a tear off strip and a resealable sticker so you can save some for later if you have any left to save that is.
** The Revels Taste Experience **
The reason I like revels is because you have all these different flavours and textures with every mouthful which makes it quite fun and enjoyable to eat. I like how if your an indecisive person such as myself you can have the best of all worlds because you have the crunchy texture with the malteaser, the chewy texture with the caramel and raisin flavours, the soft texture with the orange and coffee flavours and the melt in the mouth texture with the plain milk chocolate one. I think that my least favouraite flavours are the orange and chocolate ones as I don't really like the soft fontant type texture. I would say that one annoying thing is getting bits in your teeth from the raisin and caramel flavours but I like how the simple plain milk chocolate can cleanse the mouth from these flavours afterwards.
Summary: Some good and bad flavours but have some fun and enjoy not knowing what comes next!
