Advantages: Most of the variaties are pleasing to the taste buds

Disadvantages: Awful raisins

The interesting thing about Revels is that you don't know what you're going to get. They're all chocolate covered, but anything beyond that is just a guess. Sure, once you've had them a few times you can usually tell by just the shape, but on the first or second encounter, part of the novelty is in the not knowing.

What are the variaties? As the description states they are: disc like buttons, chewy caramel, soft coffee, orange cream, annoying raisin and good old Maltesers.

An indication of what additional qualities each possess should be gleamed from the adjectives I added.

Naturally, like all mixes, some people will love certain kinds, and despise others. For me, the raisin is to be avoided. Although, due to the nice chocolate, I usually eat the chocolate from it!

The others cater to many tastes. The coffee will not appeal to everyone, and it doesn't particularly appeal to me. But the others are a delight.

I think what's special about revels (apart from the fact you don't know what you're getting) is that you appreciate the ones you like even more because you aren't eating them all the time. Eating Maltesers on their own can get a bit monotonous even for a chocolate lover, but eating them in between other variaties is more interesting and engaging for the palet.

Summary: Enjoyable also for the novelty.
